Our Insights and Data team helps our clients make better business decisions by transforming an ocean of data into streams of insight. Due to continued growth within Capgemini’s Insights & Data practice we intend to recruit a Data Governance expert with relevant consulting and communication skills.  Let’s talk about the role and responsibilities: 

  • Work closely with business and project stakeholders to gather, validate and document Data Governance related requirements
  • Design and write Data Governance processes
  • Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
  • Simplifying information and deciphering technical jargon so it is easily understood by the whole team.
  • Supporting business transition and helping to establish change

Let’s talk about your qualifications and experience:  

  • The position would be responsible for leading in establishing end to end Data Management Governance operationalisation
  • Must have 8-10 years proven experience in developing and implementing data governance framework, policies, processes, and practices
  • Should be able to lead the client meetings workshops and work as the trusted advisor to the client
  • Primary responsibility includes managing the entire metadata implementation program by acting as a trusted advisor to the client
  • Act as a subject matter expert of Data Governance and Metadata Management
  • Strong stakeholder management and communications skills
  • Experience with Data Governance tools such as Informatica suite of governance tools, Collibra, or Alation is a plus
  • Project experience in agile (Scrum, Jira)
  • DAMA CDMP certificate preferred
  • Australian Citizen or PR visa holders

  • Be recognised as a leading expert/thought leader in Data Governance and Stewardship
  • Have specialist knowledge of Data management and Data Architecture disciplines
  • Develop frameworks, metrics and reporting to ensure progress can be measured, evaluated and continually improved
  • Collaborate with peers across Enterprise Data Management to deliver on the overarching framework
  • Create and drive the development of data quality monitoring and exception reporting for critical enterprise data
  • Have strong management skills, establish ownership and actively monitor quality
  • Be able to provide accurate work effort estimates for project streams
  • Develop standards, policies and process to enhance quality and create and lead governance forums to ensure they are producing the desired results
  • Stay current and informed on emerging techniques for improving data governance practices and have the ability to identify trends relating to products and services
  • Be an active lead of a project team and autonomously manage a team of junior to senior level consultants
  • Adhere to reporting deadlines
