Data Analyst (Consumer Lending)



Senior Data Analyst for Data Integration project.  The successful candidate should have a good working knowledge of the consumer lending domain.  The Data Analyst will be responsible for documenting the contents of each source or store of information in the overall infrastructure along with the movement of data between the various components.  Familiarity with the AGILE methodology is desired as the candidate will be actively involved in SCRUM teams in this fully collaborative environment. 


The data analyst is expected to develop a deep understanding of the data stores and data sources associated with the vendor and customer components of the ecosystem.  This will result in a data dictionary describing the entities and attributes making up the respective source or store.  The data analyst will need to liaise with various application owners to understand business context and relevance of each data. element   The data analyst is expected to conduct knowledge sharing sessions in order to educate the overall team on the contents of each data store and / or source.  


Based on the given data architecture, the data analyst is expected to document the movement of data between these various sources of information and the data stores.   This will largely be accomplished in a message based architecture but there may be some batch oriented ETL.  The deliverable will be source to target mapping documentation.  The data analyst will hold reviews and knowledge transfer sessions with both the development team implementing the mappings and the test team which will validate the implementation.  


Domain Knowledge

Lending process functional knowledge (i.e. originations, booking, funding, servicing, collections, reporting and analytics)

Digital Platform Integration

4-6 years of experience in Data/Business Analysis

Good Communication skills – written & verbal


Tools/Applications and Technologies

Agile methodology

Experience with an industry standard lending platform (e.g. Finacle, Fiserv, Total Systems, FIS)

Source to Target Mapping Experience with background in both ETL and message based data flows

Proficient in MS Excel, Word

Knowledge in SQL query scripting and comfortable in independently working with relation databases

Working knowledge of UNIX desired
