An overview of the role
Dedicated to a singular client located in Barrow in Furnace, this role is in the Collaborative Tower and you will be reporting into the BAE Systems Collaborative Tower Lead you to undertake performance monitoring, tuning, fault diagnosis, incident and request resolution.
The successful applicant will work within a dedicated team of system engineers located within our client site in Barrow in furnace, and will be responsible for managing the BAE SYSTEMS Collaborative estate.

In addition to the above, as a Collaborative Engineer for Capgemini, your Principle Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Performance monitoring, tuning, fault diagnosis, incident and request resolution
• Support and manage scheduling of Project work tasks and liaise with Project Managers to achieve planned deliverables.
• Problem Management tasks.
• Coordinate incident, problem and requests queues, involving other team resources as required.
• Troubleshoot and support SOE to achieve BAU SLA commitments.
• Collaborative Applications build and configuration as per LLD.
• Produce working documentation re Toolset or service configuration.
• Involvement in new IT Infrastructure projects.
Mon to Thu 08:00 to 16:30
Fri 08:00 – 13:30
Potentially joining the 24×7 On-call rota
Overtime will be required to cover outage slots.
The successful applicant will have the ability to take on a broad range of work tasks across Collaborative Systems/Applications, Standard Operating Environments using standard support Toolsets and Capgemini processes. In addition to managing the Enterprise Systems; which includes:
o Email System including:
ClearSwift SMTP Secure Gateways.
o Lync/Skype/Webex including:
SONUS Gateways/Call Routing.
Phone handset management and configuration.
Skype Video Conferencing
o Enterprise Smart Device (i.e. Blackberry, Samsung) System.
o Proxy Internet Service System.
o Experience in Scripting/Programming skills and Process automation/AI is a string preference but not essential.
