- To install, upgrade and maintain and CICS, IBM and OEM products and features
- Candidates must have required skills to perform the activities such as SMP/E and assembler
- They must be able to work independently and manage associated project work
- To build new environments as required by the business
- To proactively monitor CICS to prevent potential issues and to maximise performance
- To ensure that recovery processes are in place and tested
- To assist users with the analysis of issues with system processes including code promotion
- To deal with day to day support issues related to CICS and associated software
- To work closely with the client, operations and other technicians to create robust plans
- ↵Strong knowledge of CICS, CICSplex and SMP/E
- Experience working with: Cobol / Assembler, VSAM, JCL, CA-Top Secret / RACF, CA-Intertest, IPCS
- Proficiency in the maintenance of IBM CICS software
- Skilled at troubleshooting problems in a CICS environment
- Strong dump analysis skills using IPCS
- Working knowledge of Natural & Adabas
