Procurement Specialist

Roles and Responsibilities


  • To provide a service delivery in Procurement domain with Knowledge of Procurement – Indirect & Direct, Master Data Management, Catalog, Spot Buy, Competitive bidding, Catalog, P2P helpdesk  (Add on knowledge on GRIR -Accounts Payable, Purchase card)
  • Working with  the team to ensure that the SLA’s for the process are being met
  • Work on Business Process Improvements or continuous process improvements to improve productivity across teams
  • Work directly with customer  and deliver error free services to the customer
  • Develop, manage and mentor team members which includes performance appraisal
  • Lead a team of Associates, Senior Associates & Process Leads in service delivery specific to customer’s Procurement operations
  • Ownership of operational and dashboard reporting as per the agreed timelines & formats with the customer
  • Ensures that the desk top procedures (DTP) are updated periodically and the DTP is followed by the team diligently for executing the processes
  • Work closely with service, quality, technology and innovations teams to ensure that the rigor related to continuous improvements and process transformation is taken forward in line with the organizational commitment to the customer



Primary Skills (Must have)


  • Strong knowledge on Procurement processes –  (PR to PO, Transmission of PO’s, Managing goods/services deliveries, Amendment or closure process, Sourcing, Negotiation, Competitive Bidding, Master data Management)
  • Good interpersonal interaction and able to work well with the team and Client stakeholders
  • Able to allocate & get the things done from the team
  • Able to Perform appraisals for the team
  • Able to Guide, Coach and help team on the career aspiration
  • Able to take right decisions in the situations for the business
  • Able to convince the clients during critical situations 
  • Ability to create strong controlled process environment and adherence to controls and compliances
  • Able to manage priorities, deadlines and tasks in order to meet deadlines and accomplish goals; Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks
  • Able to Excellent Client Management Abilities
  • Flexible to work in shifts to support business as per requirement
