As an automation specialist you be responsible for the design and development of test automation frameworks, systems and processes. You will be responsible for strategy through to delivery of the Automation agenda, in addition the position is responsible for creating value through increasing the automation coverage using the available tools and vendor services.

This opportunity is open to both Auckland and Wellington offices.

 Let’s talk about the role and responsibilities: 

Capgemini is seeking an Automation Tester to join our New Zealand based team to work on a large and complex project for a financial services client. You will utilise your automation expertise to be able to write and deliver on test automation. Preferably you will have strong programming skillsets in Java to be able to deliver from an end-to-end perspective and provide exceptional value to supporting the client with their requirements. If you have worked in a Cloud project or supported a cloud function, this will be highly regarded.

  • Write automation test scenarios and implement test steps 
  • Execute different types of automation tests and analyse failed test cases, capable of debugging and pinpoint problem root cause
  • Liaising with various stakeholders to collect business requirements and maintain good relationships
  • Monitor automation pipeline and provide failure analysis 
  • Test estimation, planning and design, executive, support and defect management

Let’s talk about your qualifications and experience:  

  • Strong proven automation testing experience, preferable in software testing
  • Experience in Terraform/Infrastructure testing with Python, Go, Powershell or Js.
  • Experience in designing automation framework, scripting, execution and reporting
  • Expertise with test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Webdriver, Cucumber) 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to manage stakeholders and stand-ups
  • Preferable if you have experience working in a financial services or banking domain previously
