The job on offer

In order to drive the growth agenda in Cloud Infrastructure Services, we are looking to expand our UK Tooling and Automation team. 

You will assist in the management and Administration of our Monitoring and Automation platforms to support our service offering to our customer. Playing the role of a SME in automation, monitoring, and systems management, responsible for technical development of the platforms and resolving day to day issues.
 

Your role

As an Application Monitoring Analyst your role will include:
•    Working with clients to enhance the service to meet business needs
•    Ensuring services are delivered to SLA and KPI targets
•    Driving automation across all of CIS offerings
•    Provide enhanced support for the platforms
•    Providing a tooling and automation input to customer affecting issues
•    Actively support and facilitate the capability development of apprentices and junior colleagues
•    Maintenance and production of technical documentation to facilitate knowledge share and skills development
•    Working with vendors to develop roadmaps for future capabilities

Your profile

You’ll be able demonstrate the following competencies:
•    Experience of a Systems Management toolsetsg
•    Experience working with monitoring and automation solutions
•    Understanding of Windows, Unix, Linux Operating systems
•    Ability to develop code in Python or PowerShell
•    Experience of developing infrastructure as Code solutions
•    Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving
•    Confident, self-motivated and able to work under pressure with a minimum of supervision
•    Experience of working to Agile principles
•    Flexible with working outside core hours
•    Comfortable in a client/business facing role
•    Proficient in verbal and written communication
•    Willing to undertake DV Clearance

Knowledge or Experience of the following technologies/processes
•    CICD Principles
•    Nagios based monitoring systems
•    Automation Orchestration systems
•    Puppet, Chef or Ansible
•    Elastic Stack 
•    Database, Containerisation, Virtualisation
•    Cloud Platforms
•    Security Tooling
•    Network {SNMP}
