Job Description:

The Agile lead job leads in working with the product owner to align scheduling of activities to broader programme epic release requirements This role will carry out some or all of the following activities Facilitating the team to self organise enabling continuous improvement of change and run activities aligned to the product roadmap and customer expectations Responsible for the coaching and leadership responsibilities that enable Agile delivery including facilitating team meetings such as retrospectives reviews and planning events Shield the team from interruptions during sprints to ensure that agile process doesn t impede team progress Ensures that Agile principles are supported by the relevant Agile practices and that the practices do not become stale Coaches the team in Agile practices that they have agreed to i e Standups retrospectives reviews and ensures that they are followed Facilitates Agile and team events as agreed with team Creates a working environment where team members feel safe to raise any form of impediments to them Removes impediments to optimise work throughput of the team Constantly works with the Product Owner and Business Analyst to re prioritise the backlog as and when there are changes in scope or bugs arise or any issues surface Facilitates raising of Risks Issues Assumptions and Dependencies and escalating relevant ones through the Project Manager Helps the team update the physical and electronic progress boards Generates and tracks team level metrics and creates visual controls radiators for them Communicates these metrics to stakeholders Helps the team focus on continuous improvement take responsibility for their actions and mentors team members to become problem solvers for themselves Continually identifies drag on the team s performance and works with the team or stakeholders to resolve it Identifies and seeks to minimise waste within the team s processes Facilitates ad hoc meetings with stakeholders Attends Scrum of Scrum meetings if applicable Provides subject matter expertise on agile methods frameworks and how to tailor them for engineering teams that deliver technology solutions to meet business needs Educates employees at all levels including senior management on Agile principles providing them with tools for implementing Disciplined Agile in their own work Provides training sessions and teach valuable skills that lead toward the organisation wide adoption of Agile methodologies Responsible for guiding teams into the Agile methodology providing employees with feedback and means of improvement catalysing organisational growth and answering questions Provide hands on support to all employees collaborating with people across widely varying levels and roles leading teams toward further understanding and adoption of Agile as well as overall company growth and improvement Implements Agile process principles and practices across all levels and departments in an organisation Endorses techniques that increase collaboration predictability transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation Ensures adherence to Agile processes demonstrating strong knowledge of and background with Agile concepts.
