We are looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager, who has previously built and led software engineering teams. You have experience of people management, cross-functional collaboration, large-scale system design and hands-on software development across multiple tracks of execution. You have mentored and managed engineers of different levels, tech leads and managers. You have at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong people management, collaboration and communication skills are essential. It would be great if you had experience of leading development of consumer-facing applications, and of rapid iteration in a changing environment.

Understand production operations and add value by leading the way for the team
You’ll help the engineers on your team by removing obstacles and helping them grow, as well as hire more great engineers.
You’ll mentor tech leads and managers on your team
You’ll contribute to projects through technical leadership, prioritization, and close collaboration with managers, product managers, user experience designers, other teams and executives.
The team’s tasks will span all the way from early concepts to rolling out large-scale and high-end products. You will work with teams across the company, across the globe, across many functions, such as UX, product management, and business development, and with external companies.
 

Other Qualifications

5+ years’ experience as people manager or team lead
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
5-10 years of experience building scalable ecommerce applications
Experience in RESTful Services, Java, Spring Boot Framework, NoSql
Strongly inclined to develop SDLC driven organization
Experience leading teams and implementing technology globally
Providing cross-functional leadership: Working cross-functionally with different stakeholders and business teams to deliver solutions across the globe
Experience in development of scalable cloud native microservices.

Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.
