The role will participate in the creation of estimates, manage personal utilization and that of junior designers and lead by example. Apart from developing subject matter expertise, process improvement and participate in training, the role will also influence with integrity to motivate others to achieve individual and company goals. Being a senior member of the team, the individual should be effective at managing conflict, confront others skillfully and negotiate well.

Core Skills

• Lead visual design of user interface layouts, style guides and design systems.

• Lead visual design process, define design requirements, manage delivery expectations, coordinate activities, communication, timelines, manage hours, etc.

• Lead contemporary design practices and trends to lift usability and performance metrics.

• Contrib. to design workshops, roadmaps, consumer research, testing, etc.

• Proficient in content architecture, content strategy, marketing and brand building

Process and Documentation

• Manage the definition, scheduling and communication for design hours, timeline, deliverables, design reviews, etc. (both to client and team members).

• Manage activities of multiple projects simultaneously, while assessing and managing risk.

• Assume responsibility for the work produced and takes ownership for resolving issues.

• Effectively manage scope of design hours as well as design implications on downstream development hours.

• Effectively prioritize, delegate, and manage work to junior team members.

• Willing to work extended hours to meet deadlines when required

Presentation

• Proficient presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal).

• Take notes and align designs to feedback and direction.

• Proficient in presentations for design reviews.

• Clearly articulate thoughts; design strategies, decisions, trade-offs, and able to effectively and persuasively present work.

• Instill confidence, dependability, and leadership (of yourself) among clients and team members

Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.
