Capgemini is looking to onboard an Automotive Software Architect who will work closely with our clients to assist them in their transformation journey from standalone automotive products and solutions to connected products to platforms that enable product related services for their customers. Key responsibilities include:

Enable the transformation of client products to support the connected services business 
Responsible for innovating, architecting and executing the development of a next-generation micro SOA based product platform , including technology assessment, product definition, selection of third part components, alliances and emerging technology integration in the context of IOT stacks, Connectivity, Cloud, BigData, AI, Search and Analytics. Develop and deploy reference applications demonstrating the features of the micro SOA as it is being developed.  Create functional and technical knowhow, trainings and POCs to demonstrate feasibility and technical proofs of the architecture and design. More specifically, the connected vehicle platform would have the following characteristics:-

• SoA-based to enable DevSecOps practices for both vehicle, cloud and end-to-end apps and services, enabling key features for connected vehicle services including SOTA /FOTA updates, consumer centric and vehicle centric services.
• Solutioning with On Board Unit (OBU) / Telematics Control Unit (TCU) for scalability, upgradability, cost and standardization (could be an existing product, or ground up development of TCU or COTS based).  The architect will help define selection criteria and assess alternative HW solutions based on the requirements.
• Provides ultra-high reliability in all aspects including connectivity, and meets latency requirements (example – < 1s, TBC).
• Participate in architecture reviews and provide the guidance for technical roadmap for adoption

Builds relationships and drives collaboration with customers and stakeholders Effectively collaborate and communicate cross-functionally with global functional leaders, business units, engineering, sales, and marketing to gain a deep understanding of their needs and represent their perspectives with teams to shape platform innovation, development & delivery. Gain a deep understanding of customer needs from customers, partners, and sellers and communicates needs to key stakeholders. 
Technology areas in scope are: Embedded Systems, Telematics, SOA, OTA, Communications (including V2X, CV22X, DSRC) Security, networking, SDWAN and Cloud technologies for Connected services based on Azure / AWS / GCP. Azure expertise is a must for the current project needs.
Skills and Expertise required: 
• Knowledge and expertise on Vehicle Electric/Electronic Architecture
• Product Design & Development – New product development, System Engineering – Systems Engineering & Management (Knowledge and desirable hands-on System Engineering Methods, processes and tools)
• Technologies, Software & Tools (Green Hills Integrity, Green Hills MULTI, Sparx Enterprise Architect, Rational Architect, DoorsNG…)
• Lead and Manage a team of designers and architects 

Software Engineers perform requirements analysis.  They then design, develop or maintain the physical application (components) or the application environment, based on the Software Architecture (models and principles). Activities include coding, integrating, implementing, installing or changing frameworks and standard components, or technical and functional application management. A Software Engineer also develops languages, methods, frameworks and tools, and/or undertakes activities in support of server-based databases in development, test and production environments.

  

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 

 

You are a specialist in enterprise-wide Software Engineering technology, including all its processes, languages, databases, frameworks and tools. You act as a stream lead on complex international engagements and you are proficient at analyzing and assessing commercial benefits. You contribute to multiple winning bids and are a technical lead on a significant bid. You are successful at winning pull-through or add-on business to existing accounts and have strong knowledge of at least two service offers. You are an active coach and mentor who helps in coaching others through the Software Engineering & Architecture certification process.  You actively participate in the ongoing development of SE&A certification programs and lead briefings or training sessions.

 

 

• Qualification: 9-13 years (3 years min relevant experience in the role) experience, Bachelor’s Degree.
• Certification: Should have SE level 2 and is seeking SE Level 3.
• Must have experience in Software Engineering, Data Management, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.
• Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge & Testing

 

Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.
