SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Manager Job Description

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of key client relationships, which requires calls, meetings and regular business reviews 
  • Lead the technical SEO practice, including working through site implementations, filing tickets for technical issues such as site speed, and performing technical audits to help improve Google Core Web Vitals. 
  • Help manage and continue to establish the strategic SEO practice, including ongoing SEO tasks such as meta updates, keyword and marketplace research, and regular reporting. 
  • Manage and professionally develop SEO team by effectively sharing knowledge, coordinating training sessions, and refining skills sets 
  • Managing client accounts at a high level, including budgeting, forecasting, and regular business review 
  • Responsible for the overall planning and strategic development of SEO campaigns 
  • Develop and executive strategies to increase organic traffic and revenue for our clients 
  • Work closely with their manager to monitor performance of key client accounts and assist in sales activities for prospective clients 
  • Stay up-to-date with new search trends and industry news and disseminate throughout team 
  • Work across teams with the technical, creative, and marketing teams to development cross channel strategies 
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Requires a Bachelor Degree in related areas such as marketing, business, advertising, communications, or economics. 
  • Requires 4 – 6 years SEO experience with a retailer or an agency. 
  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of junior to mid-level SEO analysts. 
  • Extensive experience with technical SEO, including working directly with technical teams to help identify issues and file tickets. 
  • Experience using SEO tools such as SEMRush. 
  • Excellent organizational, presentation and communication skills required. 
  • Prior experience in a fast moving/innovative environment is preferred. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Expert experience using Google Analytics, Google Ads, & Bing Ads 
  • Experience mentoring, teaching and managing paid media specific skillsets 
  • Strong MS Excel and Google Data Studio skills 
  • Google Data studio experience preferred.

Project Managers take full responsibility for managing a project or program.  They normally manage a number of related streams or activities to achieve a desired business result, planned profitability levels, quality standards and highest-level client satisfaction. Project Managers are responsible for the project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements for the delivery organization. A Project Manager usually has technical expertise in one or more other domains (e.g. a Project Manager with testing skills could perform a test manager function).

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 

You ensure that client needs are satisfied through the formulation, development, implementation and delivery of application solutions in response to client requirements, expressed in approved service requests. You are responsible for the overall project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements for the delivery organization. You ensure that the project meets its deliverables in an agreed schedule, according to the scope, within stipulated budget, and to quality standards.

 

• Qualification: 7-10 years (3 years min relevant experience in the role), Bachelor's Degree
• Certification: Should have EM Level 1.
• Should be proficient in Negotiating, Vendor Management, Risk Management and Project Financials, KPI & Reporting
