About the Role

The Capgemini Invent North American Automotive industry team is growing! We are looking to enhance our team with a client-focused, enterprise-minded Automotive Solution Engineer. This key team member will support our strategic growth plans and sustain the excellence we are known for in delivering bespoke solutions to our clients.


This Senior Manager-level Solution Engineer will play an important role in growing our North America industry footprint by bringing our innovative vision to light through creative solutions.
In particular, this individual will demonstrate a keen ability to understand client business objectives and then shape MVP solutions and rapid prototypes to bring those visions to light. In doing so, he/she will help make our go-to-market strategies tangible.

You’re a seasoned expert at engaging with senior clients and managing significant programs. You’re an innovator and a delivery leader. As such, you will contribute to the growth of our practice by mentoring junior consultants, generating thought content and increasing the depth of our expertise in the automotive industry.


Specifically, you will bring…


  • Solution architecture / solution engineering leadership with the ability to translate complex business / technology challenges into compelling / achievable solutions
  • Ability to envision and create tangible solutions that maximize client value and enable Capgemini Invent Automotive practice growth in North America
  • A knack for creating / delivering to comprehensive solution roadmaps
  • A desire for / comfort in working closely with the client and fellow colleagues to understand key client objectives and to craft compelling solutions ranging from MVP / PoC solutions to full client deliverable solutions. 
  • Expertise in creating market-ready solutions / assets that can be used repeatedly and continuously improved
  • An ease in working across multiple projects, engaging varying levels of stakeholders and in engaging partner organizations to drive delivery for the client. 
  • Excellent communication, organization and delivery capabilities supporting our North American region focus areas and aligning with our global Capgemini automotive practice colleagues
  • An ability to build partner relationships across client, Capgemini and partner organizations
  • Active learning, staying abreast of the latest industry and technology trends, why they impact our clients and how to define the case for change


In addition to the above, you will bring:

  • Proven and demonstrable skills in developing:
    • Go to market solutions
    • Enterprise technology & data strategies
    • Relevant Automotive industry perspectives / PoVs
    • Compelling opportunity responses (RFIs / RFPs)
    • Senior-level relationships
  • Tangible consulting leadership and delivery experience in areas including:
    • Enterprise / Solution Architecture
    • Data Strategy & Analytics
    • Digital Strategy & Transformation
    • Connected Products & Services
  • Compelling solution engineering assets including:
    • Practical demonstrations of proposed solutions (MVPs, PoC’s)
    • Repeatable service offerings based on development of above
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of consulting experience or other relevant work experience
  • A highly structured and conceptual mindset coupled with strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving aptitude 
  • Ability to deliver high-quality content in internal tools (Microsoft office) as well as mastery of collaboration / facilitation tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion to understand and solve problems
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills within a team environment 
  • An ability to manage teams to create and deliver innovative solutions, navigating large and complex organizations and collaborating cross-functionally internally


What You Will Do

  • Go to Market, Sales & Client Service (50%)

You will help define our business objectives and supporting, technology-enabled go-to-market strategy. You will work with our delivery organizations and capability units to shape compelling. 

  • Delivery (50%)

You will contribute to the delivery of Capgemini NA Invent Automotive engagements with major client(s), leading client-facing, high-value consulting engagements.  In doing so, you will forge lasting client relationships, enable further client successes and help Capgemini serve our clients to the fullest.
