Integration Engineer

  • The Integration Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of interfaces among Subway's internal systems and to external partner systems. 
  • Responsibility will include using the AWS platform to build API’s and integrations while working with other development teams across the organization to ensure high availability, accuracy and performance.

Exposure to serverless technologies using Amazon Web Services 
Must Have Tech Stack:
AWS Serverless Lambda & NodeJS
API Gateway
DynamoDB & S3

• Design, develop and document new or upgrade existing APIs and services as part of our Subway platform for internal and external integration.
• Provide expertise and knowledge around integration strategies. Build and unit test integration components.
• Work with the client to understand functional and technical requirements and develop an architecture in support of those requirements.
• Ensure all coding standards, data governance and security policies are enforced and adhered to.
• Provide constructive code reviews and design guidance to team members.

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or other engineering field.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js IS
• 8+ years experience developing production software, with excellent debugging and problem solving skills.
• Passion for writing code along with a strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive.
• Demonstrate strong verbal/written communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
• Experience creating and using scalable and secure APIs.
• Expertise in designing and implementing real-time integration strategies.
• Understanding of secure communication protocols including OAuth and Open ID Connect.
• Experience with large-scale software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and deployment.

Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.


Software Engineers perform requirements analysis.  They then design, develop or maintain the physical application (components) or the application environment, based on the Software Architecture (models and principles). Activities include coding, integrating, implementing, installing or changing frameworks and standard components, or technical and functional application management. A Software Engineer also develops languages, methods, frameworks and tools, and/or undertakes activities in support of server-based databases in development, test and production environments.


Required Skills and Experience:

You are an experienced Software Engineer. You have received training and mastered at least one technology environment. You are good at elaborating technology areas and have an ability to position them within the scope of an overall project. You are a member of at least one community.


• Qualification: 3-7 years (2 years min relevant experience in the role) experience, Bachelor’s Degree.
• Certification: Should have or seeking SE Level 1.
• Should have progressing knowledge in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Software Engineering, Testing, Data Management, Architecture  Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.
