Essential Job Functions:

Define technical solutions, drive implementations, improve productivity and work cross functionally within the banking back-office ecosystem
Review system requirements and business processes and ensure defined architecture is successfully implemented
Analyze business systems specifications. Define and document product requirements, project deliverables and product acceptance criteria
Design and develop high volume, low latency applications and high-availability and performance
Contribute to all phases of development life cycle
Prepare and produce release of software components
Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives & technology and presenting these for architecture review
Conduct a wide range of highly complex quality control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end user requirements
Revises and approves test plans and scripts to ensure alignment with standards and technology strategy
Develop feasibility studies and business proposals for hardware / software solutions
Plan business and technical training for new technologies and processes

Other Job Duties:
Mentor engineers
Ensures that system tests are successfully completed and documented, and all problems are resolved
Manages tasks of team of engineers and their delivery
Coordinates and communicates applications support activities with key stakeholders
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience:

5-7 years minimum relevant experience
Background in Commercial and Retail Banking industry and payments processing platform
Experience with Check processing a plus
Experience with RPA is an added advantage
Experience in Agile Dev Ops
Business acumen with ability to become trusted advisor to business partners
Proven hands-on software development experience using Java EE platforms and Spring Boot Microservices
Demonstrated experience with Java and or Java Script
Well versed with integrations and use of streaming APIs
Experience in developing web applications and micro services
Experience with IBM Cloud deployments, nice to have Open Shift
Experience with CI/CD. Gitlab, Dockers, Kubernetes
Experience with BPM
Understanding of enterprise platform like Event Hub, Data Hub and Communication Hubs
Proficient in Relational and Non-Relational databases
Ability to apply technology solutions using Agile Design principles to solve complex business problems and communicate solutions effectively
May have deep knowledge of project management
Be a technical subject matter expert and own technical delivery, working a solution from design through integration, testing and implementation

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree

Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.
