ACCOUNTABILITIES 
Manages, resolves and documents issues and events related to system and environment availability Monitors and measures performance characteristics of applications Performs routine maintenance Communicates with all stakeholders (customers, development teams, end users, etc.) to address system issues and conduct mentoring and training Proposes and implements systems enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system Learns new applications, Dell-specific technologies, system behavior and business processes as they relates to customer needs Designs, authors, tests, documents and debugs application packages according to the customer’s standards, policies and procedures. Maintains packaging, QA and verification workflows, lessons learned logs and other centralized documentation. 
Creates and maintains application packaging test and development environments. 
Defines corporate packaging standards and strategies. Performs application environment builds and refreshes of complex environments. 
Creates, implements and tests disaster recovery procedures. 
Consults with management to promote and develop technical enhancements.

Requirements
•5+ years relevant experience doing information security work or equivalent BS degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields
•3 years of demonstrated application security experience
•Demonstrated knowledge of network and web protocols, and an in-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix tools and architecture.
•Software development proficiency (Go, Ruby, Python, Java, C#, or Obj-C/Swift).
•Background in cloud, host, network, and application security
•Hands-on knowledge of information security technologies such as security design review, threat modeling, risk analysis, and software testing techniques
•In-depth knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and CWE 25, with proven track record and expertise in implementing and integrating remediation strategies
•Deep understanding of authentication protocols and frameworks to include OAuth, OpenID, SSO/SAML
•Experience in web application design, penetration testing, application risk assessment and risk categorization
•Experience with driving and implementing secure development practices in to SDLC
•Proficient developer in Java, JavaScript

 

Software Engineers perform requirements analysis.  They then design, develop or maintain the physical application (components) or the application environment, based on the Software Architecture (models and principles). Activities include coding, integrating, implementing, installing or changing frameworks and standard components, or technical and functional application management. A Software Engineer also develops languages, methods, frameworks and tools, and/or undertakes activities in support of server-based databases in development, test and production environments.

 

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 

 

You have mastered several Software Engineering areas, applications or database environments.  You act as a Software Engineering stream leader with technical delivery ownership within a (limited) number of technology areas. You contribute to bids or client proposals based on your technological expertise.  You also act as a team leader with delivery ownership, and guide individuals and groups towards desired outcomes. You actively participate in at least one community and contribute to community discussions.

 

 

• Qualification: 6-8 years (2 years min relevant experience in the role) experience, Bachelor’s Degree.
• Certification: Should have SE Level 1 and seeking level 2.
• Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Software Engineering, Testing, Data Management, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.

 

 

Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.
