058349-SAP System Architect (S4 / HANA)

  Responsibilities as a senior SAP ISU Solution architect will include:
•    Review and document the current state of SAP ISU implementation and related Enterprise architecture.
•    Identify the pain points and recommend out of the box solution in Target system wherever applicable.
•    Document requirements ensuring that the SAP (S/4 HANA) ISU and related SAP system architecture achieves business outcomes and contributes positively to enterprise target state
•    Maximising and communicating enterprise architecture value
•    Executive influence and relationship building with senior business and IT stakeholders
•    Alignment to architecture roadmaps with business and IT
•    Ability to architect and enable the broader Customer Information, Billing, Meter Data Mgmt. and Market Transaction Management capabilities within SAP ISU
•    Ensuring appropriate solution architecture governance for the SAP ISU initiative
•    Lead and drive definition of the overall end to end SAP ISU solution architecture that is agreed by all stakeholders
•    Identify and drive resolution of architectural trade-offs that are either with in project scope, or have current or potential material impact to the enterprise
•    Additional services such as governance and business case support
•    Expert understanding of the SAP Industry Solution for Utilities (ISU) S/4 Hana solution, all sub-components (e.g., EDM, AMI, IDE/IDEX, Billing, DM, CA, CS, Customer Management, Service Management, reporting & embedded analytics)
•    Solid understanding of SAP cloud and on-premises technologies including SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Cloud for Customer, SAP Hybris Marketing Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Gateway, SAP Solution manager and related components
•    Integration platforms knowledge including SAP PI/PO and SAP Cloud Platform Integration • In-depth knowledge of the S/4HANA roadmap, differences between 1709, 1803,1809,2020 releases and new innovations that are brought in each of the S/4HANA releases and thus the direct impact on SAP ISU / for Utilities as well as the organizations existing SAP ecosystem
•    Detailed knowledge of S/4 HANA pre-requisites
•    Expert understanding of the SAP utilities data model and how that applies to the organization
•    Data Volume management and archival
•    FIORI apps for Utilities Experience
•    Lead large scale SAP Utilities (ISU) and previous releases architecture development with minimum 3 end-to-end implementations from project preparation to go-live with at least one greenfield on S4 Hana ISU
•    Significant experience working collaboratively and effectively with system integrators and multiple vendors to develop integrated architectures aligned with business outcomes
•    Expert knowledge in at least 3 SAP ISU sub-components
•    At least 5 years of solid SAP business process knowledge and SAP business process blue printing experience working with utilities’ customer service & billing processes
•    At least 5 years’ experience in utilities industry with electricity, gas, and water. Ontario experience will be preferred.
•    Migration experience with SAP S/4HANA ISU
•    Previous hands-on experience with SAP ERP & SAP ISU
•    Experience at documenting architectures, lead and drive definition of the overall end to end SAP ISU solution architecture that is agreed by all stakeholders
•    Identify and drive resolution of architectural trade-offs that are either with in project scope, or have current or potential material impact to the enterprise
•    Additional services such as governance and business case support

• Minimum Business or IT degree or similar


Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.

 Applications Consultants have expertise in a specific technology environment.  They are responsible for software-specific design and realization, as well as testing, deployment and release management, or technical and functional application management of client-specific package based solutions (e.g. SAP, ORACLE).  These roles also require functional and methodological capabilities in testing and training.


Required Skills and Experience:


You are an expert in one or more business processes and technology practices and are accountable for translating a business case into a detailed technical design. Alternatively, you are responsible for operational and technical issues and translate technical blueprints into requirements and specifications. You may also be responsible for integration testing and user acceptance testing. You act as a stream lead, guiding team members by experience. You are seen as active member within technology communities.


• Qualification: Minimum 7-10 years (3 years min relevant experience in the role) experience, Bachelor’s Degree.

• Certification: SE level 1 and seeking level 2.

• Must have experience in Package Configuration.

• Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Testing, Architecture Knowledge, Technical Solution Design and Vendor Management.
