We are seeking an experienced technician responsible for fleet testing automobiles and the relevant equipment. You will be responsible for securing prototype vehicles, calibrating sensors for LIDAR, Camera, RADAR, and related equipment. In addition, you will test end-to-end flow by taking vehicles on test drives. You will be supported by a team of technicians and drivers who will receive guidance and technical coaching from you.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Calibration of vehicle sensors and equipment – LIDAR, RADAR, Cameras, etc
  • Delivery and installation of relevant software updates
  • Configuration and updates of the logging equipment in the vehicles, including ECU flashing
  • Support and guide technicians and drivers assigned to the vehicles
  • Perform vehicle diagnosis and debug BUS communications
  • Perform fault-tracing in built-in equipment
  • Provide in-field service and support on the vehicles
  • Set up, commission, calibrate, and adjust the vehicle’s sensors and sensor prototypes
  • Complete mechanical repairs and adjustments on the vehicle interior and exterior
  • Produce all supporting test documentation in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of hands-on technician and/or prototype test work
  • Highly proficient in measurement technologies and methodologies
  • Advanced knowledge of vehicle systems and operations
  • Experienced with LIDAR, RADAR, and cameras
  • Experienced with vehicle calibration
  • Experience in prototype builds
  • Class B Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of ADAS/AD systems and functionality
  • Strong team focus
  • Must take a structured and analytical approach to work
