Job Responsibilities
Interface closely with Product safety team to contribute in defining product Safety features
Work with cross-functional teams designing hardware and software
Work with design engineers to characterize architectures and decompose and assign safety requirements to module level requirements
Generate safety requirements and validation plans
Construct Safety Goals, Item Definitions or system description and Functional Safety Concept
Participate in Review of system architecture and investigate failure propagation
Provide guidance for architecture proposals and design verification plans
Work with system engineers to develop and document module level functional safety requirements
Coordinate development timing with key Engineering and Business stakeholders
Engage with internal/external stakeholders  and review work products to conduct detailed functional safety analysis
Lead the FMEA, HARA, and safety analysis, freedom from interference analysis for vehicle functions.

Skill Requirements
Systems architecture design experience
B.E. or B.Tech./B.S degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering
12+ years of Automotive, Aerospace or relevant safety-industry experience
Analytical skills and passion for writing clear, concise, and verifiable requirements and safety work products 
Knowledge and working experience on automotive systems and ISO26262 is mandatory 
Experience using requirements management tools such as Polarion, DOORS or Jama
Experience constructing FMEA, HARA, and ASIL classifications
Technical writing proficiency
Automotive Functional Safety training and certification from recognised certification bodies (TUV Rheinland/ TUV SUD)
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team
Experience working in any flavour of the Agile Software Development method e.g. SCRUM

Software Engineers perform requirements analysis.  They then design, develop or maintain the physical application (components) or the application environment, based on the Software Architecture (models and principles). Activities include coding, integrating, implementing, installing or changing frameworks and standard components, or technical and functional application management. A Software Engineer also develops languages, methods, frameworks and tools, and/or undertakes activities in support of server-based databases in development, test and production environments.

  

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 

 

You are a specialist in enterprise-wide Software Engineering technology, including all its processes, languages, databases, frameworks and tools. You act as a stream lead on complex international engagements and you are proficient at analyzing and assessing commercial benefits. You contribute to multiple winning bids and are a technical lead on a significant bid. You are successful at winning pull-through or add-on business to existing accounts and have strong knowledge of at least two service offers. You are an active coach and mentor who helps in coaching others through the Software Engineering & Architecture certification process.  You actively participate in the ongoing development of SE&A certification programs and lead briefings or training sessions.

 

 

• Qualification: Minimum 9-13 years (3 years min relevant experience in the role) experience, Bachelor’s Degree.
• Certification: Should have SE level 2 and is seeking SE Level 3.
• Must have experience in Software Engineering, Data Management, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.
• Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge & Testing
