The SAP IBP Functional consultant is an expert both technically implementing SAP IBP (Integrated business planning) as well as strong consulting and communication capabilities to lead both business and technical workstreams in a customer facing agenda. The IBP functional expert provide an strong functional skillset and experience for implementing all IBP modules end to end including a thorough understanding of integration requirements using CPI-DS and SDI. The IBP functional consultant have 2-3 years IBP experience, B to C Level, or 2-3 SAP IBP project experience.
 
The SAP IBP Functional expert tend to have experience in 1 or more functional areas:
Demand Planning: IBP Demand, APO, OMP, Demand Signal Management, DDMRP
Supply and Inventory Planning: IBP Response and Supply, MM, PPDS, SAP MPS, Ariba Direct Material
S&OP, SIOP, Supply Chain strategy, Financial Planning

The Work: 
Conducting Design Thinking and requirement elicitation to understand customer’s business needs 
Solutioning, providing clients with an project and design proposal using SAP IBP  to meet their business needs and transform their supply chains 
Lead teams to build state-of-the-art SAP IBP supply chain solutions that meet your clients’ unique needs 
Create change plans and lead efforts that help your clients help their people embrace the changes that come with supply chain transformation
Lead an adoption program alongside and technical implementation
Engage in deal support and Go To Market activities  
Keep building your SAP supply chain know-how by staying current on market innovations and the latest developments 
Use your expertise to cement Capgemini’s position as a supply chain thought leader

Your key areas of responsibilities will include:
• Project Delivery & Solution: support IBP delivery projects, where required, either on-demand (point SME support) or on a planned basis (Project lead or Regular solution audits).
• Presales: work with prospective and existing customers to understand business requirements and challenges and craft IBP-based solutions to deliver specific business value.
Basic Qualifications: 
Minimum of 4 years experience in Supply Chain Planning
Minimum of 3 years experience with SAP-IBP modules or
Minimum of 3 years experience with SAP APO / MM / PPDS
Minimum of 3 years experience with design, configuration of applications and overall project delivery
Experience leading customer blueprinting workshops and managing system configuration, technical development, testing, training and go-live
Min 2 and desirable 3 year’s specific experience on SAP IBP (on version 6.X onwards) with hands-on experience across all modules of SAP IBP – S&OP, Supply, Demand, Inventory, Control Tower
Excellent communication and presentation skills and an inherent ability to command respect from Chief Supply Chain Officers of customers
Experience in working with distributed delivery models
Education Requirement:Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years work experience). If Associate’s Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6 year work experience.
 

 

Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.

Applications Consultants have expertise in a specific technology environment.  They are responsible for software-specific design and realization, as well as testing, deployment and release management, or technical and functional application management of client-specific package based solutions (e.g. SAP, ORACLE).  These roles also require functional and methodological capabilities in testing and training.

 

Required Skills and Experience:
 

You are an expert in one or more business processes and technology practices and are accountable for translating a business case into a detailed technical design. Alternatively, you are responsible for operational and technical issues and translate technical blueprints into requirements and specifications. You may also be responsible for integration testing and user acceptance testing. You act as a stream lead, guiding team members by experience. You are seen as active member within technology communities.

 

• Qualification: 6-8 years (2 years min relevant experience in the role) experience, Bachelor’s Degree.

• Certification: SE level 1 and seeking level 2.

• Must have experience in Package Configuration.

• Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Testing, Architecture Knowledge, Technical Solution Design and Vendor Management.
