Capgemini is looking for a high-touch, passionate and self-motivated Executive with a minimum of 15-20 years of Management and IT Consulting leadership experience to lead the US Energy Market Unit.  “Energy” specifically includes all segments of the Oil & Gas (O&G) market: oilfield and equipment services, upstream, midstream, liquified natural gas (LNG), downstream, and now renewables, electricity, and carbon capture business units own by traditional oil and gas companies.  The candidate should have global sales and delivery experience within a large, dynamic consulting organization.  Primary responsibilities will be to lead the Energy segment within the Energy, Utilities, and Chemicals (EUC) Market Unit for the US.   The objective will be to manage and expand a well-qualified, talented team of consulting professionals that deliver world class services to our clients.  Other responsibilities will include developing offerings specific and unique to Capgemini, creating go-to market strategies and services around the Energy Sector, and remaining as the key contact for those offerings within the firm.  Account management and oversight of delivery as well as account and market development are likewise essential.

The Executive will responsible for the following key activities:

 

 

  • Focus on target Energy clients to drive business relationships
  • Act as an Account Executive for a key account
  • Ensure that key performance measures of the Market Unit are met
  • Oversee and deliver large scale transformations
  • Select key accounts and transactions to pursue and invest
  • Collaborate with the Sales organization to drive revenue growth of the practice
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the business by maintaining and growing relationships with various channel partners
  • Present Capgemini’s end-to-end portfolio of service offerings to CxO levels within current and perspective clients and in external events and marketing
  • Work with account managers on proposed solutions for clients
  • Collaborate with the various Practice Leaders to grow client relationships within the domain
  • Provide input and ideas into the development of the Capgemini go-to-market strategies around the practice

 

Requirements:

  • Highly commercially-minded individual, commanding a presence with senior executives both internally and externally with ambition to exceed targets and expectations
  • Experience constructing and responding to large, complex Consulting deals
  • Has driven sales from 15-20mm+ / year in addition to leading large engagements or a portfolio of accounts / offerings of more than 50mm+/year
  • Previous Practice leadership experience within a services organization guiding teams of 25 consultants or greater
  • Deep Energy/O&G Domain expertise
  • Experience in the transformational elements of programs and not on the detailed technology requirements; however, some understanding of technology and technology enablement is critical; experience with large digital transformation programs is strongly preferred
  • Understanding of trends and current challenges within the O&G space
  • Interact as a peer at senior levels in client companies and comfortable working at senior level within complex organizations, able to build empathy, credibility and trust with key customers
  • Successful track record in delivering business objectives within large corporate environments where there is rapid change and strong sales ability and closing skills at executive and board levels
  • Build excellent relationships with key corporate customers and colleagues to develop the reputation and potential of Capgemini’s practice
  • Previous international experience or have worked for global organizations is preferred
