Job Description: Tester 


Strong knowledge of testing methods and SDLCs, Agile, Test and Behavioral driven test methods 
Ability to quickly learn new software features to perform testing tasks within time constraints. 
Good working knowledge of relational databases and writing SQL queries. 
Identifies and resolves different types of problems to efficiently target test strategies and testing scope. Works with team members on problems to identify risks and solutions. 
Proactive in managing work tasks in relation to timelines and release deadlines. This can include alternative approaches in order to optimize testing time. 
Understands the relationships between the front-end Product, back-end tables, and processing of data to ensure testing covers appropriate integration. 
Understands the underlying data, table relationships, and how to create or manipulate data to trigger desired test conditions. Able to write SQL queries to perform data validation. 
Abile to write simple automation scripts 



Educational Qualification: 

BS (Computer Science) or Equivalent  

Required Skills and Experience: 

4 + years as a software/system tester, integrator, or developer. 
1-2 years woekingin an Agile env (e.g. SCRUM, Kanban). 
Acquainted with producing or altering sample data to trigger specific test conditions. 
Experience using test automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber/Gherkin and Object Oriented Programming knowledge. 



Experience writing SQL statements. 

At least 1 year of experience with test automation tools, such as Cucumber, Groovy, LoadRunner, Jenkins, Github, Gradle, JBehave, Selenium Grid, JUnit, Geb, Spock, JMeter, Thucydides, Agile management tools or other open source test automation tools 

Soft Skills 

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills 
Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities are required 

Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.

Test Consultants are concerned with the independent verification and validation of the products produced by the development process. Testing is carried out in each phase: the requirements are tested by an acceptance test, the system design (analysis and design) by a system and integration test, and the programs by a program and module test.

Required Skills and Experience:

You design and develop more complex tests and non-functional tests. You perform many of the roles required of a software testing project, through which you acquire a full testing lifecycle experience. Typically you perform these roles as a senior member in a wider team. You act as a stream leader with technical delivery ownership within a limited number of technology areas. You contribute to bid or client proposals based on your technological expertise. You have delivery ownership and guide individuals and groups towards desired outcomes. You also actively participate in at least one community.


• Qualification: 3-7 years (2 years min relevant experience in the role) experience, Bachelor’s Degree.

• Certification: Should have SE level 1 and seeking level 2.

• Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Testing, Software Engineering, Architecture Knowledge, Technical Solution Design and Quality Management.
