Responsibilities.

The Senior AWS Solution Architect leads client engagements and project teams to;
•    Establish trusted advisor relationship with decision makers and senior buyers. 
•    Confer with customers, prospects and salespeople to turn requirements into modern cloud-based architectures and ensure successful implementations
•    Create technical data strategies and roadmaps
•    Develop reference architecture, patterns, standards, cost and risk for AWS migrations
•    Communicate architectural decisions and mentor technical staff on technologies
•    Create cloud migration strategies; define solution architectures, create migration plans and design orchestration 
•    Design and implement highly available, fault tolerant, dynamically scalable data platforms and analytical solutions
•    Drive technical discussions to meet client needs, explaining to non-technical audiences the best approaches to solutions and product options
•    Contribute to estimations, statements of work and Proposals

The Senior AWS Solution Architect works with I&D senior leaders and AWS to;

•    Engage with the Go to Market teams to create sector and client specific sales collateral
•    Partner with AWS Pre-sales architects to align I&D offerings for joint benefit
•    Develop and implement strategies to sell I&D offerings targeted for AWS solutions
•    Work with GTM teams to support RFI’s, RFP’s, build and create Demo’s
•    Socialize I&D big bets to GTM teams and offering managers

Requirements.

•    Ten+ years of experience in the development and delivery of data platforms and analytics
•    3+ years AWS cloud experience 
•    Certified cloud AWS solution architect (Associate required / Professional preferred)
•    AWS Services (EC2, VPC, S3, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, DynamoDB)
•    Snowflake preferred
•    Unix, Python, SQl and NoSQl
•    Experience with automated configuration management
•    Experience leading the implementation of complex AWS cloud solutions Agile and DevOps tools and methodologies
•    Strong presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with Senior IT executives
•    Excellent organizational skill and ability to juggle multiple demands without missing deadlines
•    Strong teambuilding skills and teamwork orientation; able to coach, mentor or lead by example
•    Exposure to legacy ETL and orchestration tools
•    Exposure to Containerization technologies

 

Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.

Delivery Architects assess a project’s technical feasibility, as well as implementation risks.  They are responsible for designing and implementing a project’s technical architecture. They define the structure of a system, its interfaces, and the principles that guide its organization, software design and implementation. The scope of the Delivery Architect’s role is bounded by the business issue at hand. A Delivery Architect needs to have knowledge of all the different aspects of the technical Delivery as well as robust business knowledge. This includes the Software Architect.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

 

• You are responsible for designing and validating a complex architecture and ensuring its successful implementation.

• You should be able to identify and challenge several IT scenarios by taking into account the business environment.

• You work as a stream lead at CIO/CTO level in major client organizations.

• You lead Capgemini operations relating to market development and/or service delivery excellence.

• You are seen as a role model in your community.

 

 

Required Skills and Experience:

• Qualification: 9-13 years (3 years min relevant experience in the role), Bachelor’s Degree.

• Certification: Has TOGAF 9 and has IAF level 1 and is seeking level 2.

• Should be experienced in foundation, People Leadership, service & delivery.

• Should be proficient in client acquisition & development and business leadership.

• Should be masters in Technology Awareness & Leveraging and Innovation & Capability Growth.
