Technical Writer/Editor

Responsibilities
Technical Writer/Editor will be part of our Digital Surgery Enablement Platform engineering team, and lead the documentation efforts across the platform.
•Design and maintain an effective structure for organizing documentation
•Maintain multiple categories of documentation:
oFormal design documentation and other quality documentation
oOther internal documentation
oDocumentation aimed at the users of the platform, who are themselves highly-technical application developers
•Identify inhibitors to improved documentation, and lead the integration of documentation activities into our agile software engineering practices.
•Ensure documentation meets the diverse needs of the audiences. Take an outside-in perspective.
•Coach team members including engineers, solution engineers (“pre-sales”), in improving documentation.
•Drive continuous improvement in completeness, quality, and agile delivery of documentation.
 
Required experience and skills
•Very high standard of English proficiency. Ability to clearly describe complex technical topics.
•Experience operating as an editor and coach across a large engineering team. Demonstrable experience of improving the volume and quality of documentation across a substantial team.
•Demonstrable proficiency in writing documentation for a software engineering audience.
•Understanding of modern software engineering practices in Cloud and DevOps.
 
Preferred experience and skills
•Large-scale Agile software engineering using SAFe or a comparable framework
•Regulated software engineering under a formal quality management system
•Understanding and experience of Microsoft Azure

  

 

Software Engineers perform requirements analysis.  They then design, develop or maintain the physical application (components) or the application environment, based on the Software Architecture (models and principles). Activities include coding, integrating, implementing, installing or changing frameworks and standard components, or technical and functional application management. A Software Engineer also develops languages, methods, frameworks and tools, and/or undertakes activities in support of server-based databases in development, test and production environments.

 

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 

 

You are an experienced Software Engineer. You have received training and mastered at least one technology environment. You are good at elaborating technology areas and have an ability to position them within the scope of an overall project. You are a member of at least one community.

 

 

• Qualification: 3-7 years (2 years min relevant experience in the role) experience, Bachelor’s Degree.
• Certification: Should have or seeking SE Level 1.
• Should have progressing knowledge in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Software Engineering, Testing, Data Management, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.

 

                                                                                             

Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.
