050119-Managing Delivery Architect – Restaurant Application Architect – Cloud Native Architect

We are currently searching for a Restaurant Application Architect in the Chicago, IL area with 9-13 years (3 years min relevant experience in the role.)

Local Preferred but will accept travelers after Covid 19

As the Restaurant Applications Architect, you will be responsible for engaging with technical and business stakeholders to understand business needs and guide the overall direction of the restaurant applications (POS and Kiosk most notably) of a leading QSR player. You will be responsible to ensure the platform keeps up with modern delivery and engineering practices while driving the transformation to a microservices, cloud-ready architecture, partnering with key cloud provider partners. You will not only lead the modernization projects but also address the organizational and cultural changes, pushing the organization forward while helping them solve difficult technology problems.

Responsibilities

Work in collaboration with Product Architects to define common standards, patterns and practices

Develop architecture which supports product requirements, including deployability, performance, security, and manageability

Present and defend architecture, design, and technique choices to internal and external audiences

Sustain the on-going transformation to a Continuous Deployment model through high-level of automation

Drive the transformation to a full microservices cloud-ready architecture

Proactively learn new technologies, standards, and applications; keep current with technology developments within the industry

Is ultimately accountable for the delivery of architecture and engineering projects that fall within the scope of the restaurant platform

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Demonstrated leadership experience and excellent communication skills

Demonstrated experience working on a point-of-sales type of product

Demonstrated experience working with cloud architecture principles

Experience in Agile and Extreme Programming software development methodologies

Comfort with managing multiple projects at once without sacrificing detail

Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work autonomously, and self-direct within a highly communicative, interactive team structure

Delivery Architects assess a project’s technical feasibility, as well as implementation risks.  They are responsible for designing and implementing a project’s technical architecture. They define the structure of a system, its interfaces, and the principles that guide its organization, software design and implementation. The scope of the Delivery Architect’s role is bounded by the business issue at hand. A Delivery Architect needs to have knowledge of all the different aspects of the technical Delivery as well as robust business knowledge. This includes the Software Architect.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

 

• You are responsible for designing and validating a complex architecture and ensuring its successful implementation.

• You should be able to identify and challenge several IT scenarios by taking into account the business environment.

• You work as a stream lead at CIO/CTO level in major client organizations.

• You lead Capgemini operations relating to market development and/or service delivery excellence.

• You are seen as a role model in your community.

 

 

Required Skills and Experience:

• Qualification: 12+ years experience, Bachelor’s Degree.

• Certification: Has TOGAF 9 and has IAF level 1 and is seeking level 2.

• Should be experienced in foundation, People Leadership, service & delivery.

• Should be proficient in client acquisition & development and business leadership.

• Should be masters in Technology Awareness & Leveraging and Innovation & Capability Growth.
