The AIE SF is part of Capgemini’s Chief Innovation Office. The CINO office works to assure world-class innovation infrastructure is developed, scaled, and embedded into how Capgemini sells, delivers and services our clients.
The Innovation Strategist is a critical role for the San Francisco Applied Innovation Exchange team. This role is responsible for directly engaging Senior level leaders from Capgemini, clients, and partners, with the purpose of guiding innovation initiatives to tangible business outcomes; for the client, Capgemini, and our innovation ecosystem partners. This person will work in a team focused on the delivery of world class client experiences and impacting key Capgemini stakeholders. As such, the candidate for this role must be both an engaging innovation thought leader and an always-curious innovation practitioner. The Innovation Strategist will report to the AIE SF Leader/VP.

Service Delivery of the AIE Service Catalog
Key AIE offerings include Discover Workshops and Sustained Innovation. Discover Workshops directly engage clients, partners, and Capgemini leaders. They focus on leveraging a proven AIE discipline and methodology to help clients navigate and apply innovation to their most significant challenges, connected to new customer experience, operational excellence and business model transformation. Leveraging the Bay Area innovation ecosystem and applying emerging technologies, are key components in our delivery. Sustained Innovation provides a program framework for continuous and transformational innovation. This role will manage all aspects of Discover workshops and Sustained Innovation program management.
The AIE SF has a robust service catalog, which would include offerings like Ecosystem Scans, Innovation as a Service, Residency, Innovation Coaching. This role will be responsible for the delivery of these offerings, working with the full AIE SF team.
Capgemini is a matrixed organization, with a diverse set of internal stakeholders. The AIE also engages deeply with external stakeholders, such as partners, academia, venture capital, and startups. It is essential that the AIE work to drive impact to the many stakeholders it serves. This will come in many forms. Examples include:
- Assuring account teams are conditioned to leverage applied innovation models in their accounts
- Assuring AIE offerings are embedded into client delivery
- Large client proposals / deals are supported and include innovation
- External constituents understand the role AIE plays and they gain value from direct client engagement
- Coordinating with the global AIE network to advance new thought leadership & offerings.

- Strong analytical abilities in order to evaluate an organization’s business opportunities and help guide innovation initiatives to tangible outcomes
- Excellent communication, presentation, and workshop facilitation skills
- Experienced innovation practitioner, well oriented in conceptual solution architecture and emerging technologies
- Experience in working in cross-functional teams and innovation initiatives will be beneficial
- Experience in Design Thinking, Business Model Canvas, Lean Canvas, Agile Ways of Working. applied in large organizations
- Comfort with ambiguity and rapidly changing environment
Experience in the Bay Area, including an existing network
