Principal Duties And Responsibilities
�Respond to benefits inquiries from managers, associates and HRBPs on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
�Handle claims assistance, benefits eligibility, billing, COBRA, QMSCOs, and process Tuition Reimbursement requests
�Develop and maintain a working knowledge of domestic compliance requirements in such related area as ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA and FLSA, etc.
�Provide administrative support in the preparation and filing of annual reporting, support plan audits, and manage required annual notification mailings, etc.
�Work closely with stakeholders to perform accurate and timely compliance audits.
�Responsible for reviewing, coordinating and processing all activities for Family Medical Leave, Elective Leave and Military Leave. Provides advanced level HR leave of absence administration to managers and colleagues and acts as a subject matter expert to ensure compliance with state and federal leave of absence laws as well as client policies.
�Responsible for identifying leave types, approving or denying requests for leave, calculating and monitoring leave duration, and coordinating return to work. Provides consultation and guidance in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures for managers and HRBPs, and acts to minimize risk in all situations
�Serves as the primary contact for all Leave of Absence requests; conducts intake over the phone, in person or via email, either directly or indirectly from the Associate, through HR staff or appropriate leader.
�Communicates and provides explanation of approvals, denials, leave extensions, and other important information regarding leaves. Ensures that appropriate paperwork is sent out and received in a timely manner.
�Serves as the primary contact for all Worker�s Compensation cases; Acting as a liaison for the Associate, employer, and the case manager
�Completes requested documentation such as Wage Attachments from third party Worker�s Compensation program provider
�Communicates with third party administrators regarding disability payments and approval status; provides information regarding earnings to be used for disability payment calculations, updates vendor regarding any known status changes with leave, researches issues and discrepancies; consults with vendor as necessary regarding leave status.
�Manage and assist Associates with returning to work; communicate regularly to manager, HRBP, stakeholders, and Associate
�Ensures data integrity in HRIS database with daily maintenance of carrier files, resolving data errors, updating data (i.e., new hire record creation, changes, terminations, benefit/leave administration, etc.).
�Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of human resources, health and welfare benefits and leave administration
�Associate Degree and minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in leave of absence administration in a high volume work environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor�s Degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
�2+ years experience in benefits administration and leave management
�2+ years working in a contact center environment
�Benefits or HR Certification preferred such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Certified Benefit Professional (CBP), PHR, SHRM-CP
�Excellent presentation and communication skills, written and verbal
�Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word).
�Proficiency with systems and reporting. Ceridian Dayforce experience preferred.
�Fast learner with the ability to multi-task.
�Self-motivated and detail oriented. A problem solver.
