� This is a test execution role where you will contribute to the development and test of embedded software for GM Infotainment components. This includes execution of automated and manual tests on benches and in vehicles. The testing will utilize a mixture of traditional and Software Behavior Test methods.

� The ideal candidate is typically early in their career and motivated to face challenges. This is a fast-paced role. The candidate will experience new things on daily basis and flexibility will be key to their success.


� Responsible for executing both manual and automated test scripts to verify Infotainment subsystem functional and performance requirements.

� Configure benches to support specific test scenarios

� Characterize and document defects including identifying steps to reproduce, linking failures to requirements, and collecting all associated test logs

� Interact with multiple engineering disciplines (Systems, Software Development, Validation, Suppliers) to define support defect resolution

� Provide report outs to senior leaders regarding System/Subsystem bench testing progress

� Update test cases as required

� Experienced in all aspects of Design and Development of Automotive Electronic Controllers (ECUs), especially of Audio Systems, their application and integration in Vehicle Design

� Experienced with Software and Calibrations work and Vehicle Serial Data Communication using LAN, LIN, and MOST networks.

� Pro-actively interact with multiple tier 1 suppliers to coordinate software build release

� Define and document system level issues between components of the subsystem

� Interact with suppliers to resolve system issues

� Review test logs to determine where subsystem issues reside

� Coordinate system software releases to other development groups within the company

� Run integration meetings, create minute, create and track action item lists

� Travel as needed to support suppliers

� Troubleshoot Captured Test Fleet issues

Must Have Skills

� B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering; preferably from a top 100 University

� 0-3+ years of experience; For a recent graduate, will look for Android experience. For candidates with 2-5+ years of experience, will look for relevant Infotainment experience.

� Ability to manage complex problems and propose solutions


� Understanding of Vehicle Electrical Architecture and Subsystem/Features in the Infotainment domain

� Experience with GMLAN/CAN vehicle communication system and CAN based monitoring tools.

� Understanding of Object Oriented Programming

� Strong Project Management and Organizational skills

� Understanding of Object Oriented Programming

� Ability to speak the Chinese language a plus

Software Engineers perform requirements analysis.  They then design, develop or maintain the physical application (components) or the application environment, based on the Software Architecture (models and principles). Activities include coding, integrating, implementing, installing or changing frameworks and standard components, or technical and functional application management. A Software Engineer also develops languages, methods, frameworks and tools, and/or undertakes activities in support of server-based databases in development, test and production environments.



Required Skills and Experience:



You are learning and developing the knowledge, technical skills and core consulting behaviors required to succeed in Application Services. You learn to perform requirements analysis, you learn an appropriate methodology and one programming/development language, database or application environment. You demonstrate flexibility and versatility in meeting objectives and should be able to manage your workload and update management on task progress. You work under the direction of a more senior Software Engineer and will become responsible for the delivery of specific functionality for a given solution.



� Qualification: 1 � 3 years experience, Bachelor�s Degree.

� Should have baseline skills in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Software Engineering, Testing, Data Management, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.

 Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.
