Capgemini America, Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Software Engineer 4 based out of its Chicago, IL U.S. headquarters. The employee may also work at various unanticipated locations. S/he will perform the following duties: design, develop or maintain the components of the physical application or the application environment, based on the Software Architecture (models and principles); code/integrate/implement/install or change frameworks and standard components, or technical and functional application management; develop languages/methods/ frameworks/tools, and/or undertake activities in support of server-based databases in development, test and production environments; act as specialist in enterprise-wide Software Engineering technology, including all its processes, languages, databases, frameworks and tools; participate in the ongoing development of SE&A certification programs and lead briefings or training sessions; responsible for the management and direction of multiple projects or a single, large, and complex project; responsible for delivering on defined revenue targets within a particular industry or service area; initiate and maintain client relationships; share practice management and administration responsibilities including the overall management of project teams and development of staff.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering (any) or closely related field plus at least 7 years of progressively-responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or as Programmer/Developer, Systems Analyst, Tester or related IT position. The applicant must also have: any period of professional experience working with software application development and integration tools, including IBM Mainframe, IBM WebSphere MQ, and AWS; any period of professional experience using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and the digital technologies, including Cloud, Mobile and Analytics/Big data; any period of professional experience working with SDLC processes such as planning, coding, testing, tracking the project progress, estimation schedule, researching risk management documentation, deployment and maintenance; any period of professional experience working with software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall; and any period of professional experience managing a team of IT professionals.
