Applications Consultants have expertise in a specific technology environment. They are responsible for software-specific design and realization, as well as testing, deployment and release management, or technical and functional application management of client-specific package based solutions (e.g. SAP). These roles also require functional and methodological capabilities in testing and training.
- Primary skills in FI: GL, AP.
- Secondary skills in CO: CCA, PCA
Required Skills and Experience:
You focus on building solutions and on maintaining, optimizing and improving a client’s applications and systems. You contribute to a business and technical blueprint and customize the respective Software Package Core Module. You may also be responsible for unit testing, contribute to integration testing, and/or be responsible for the design and delivery of end-user training.
SAP Finance (FI-GL and FI-AP) Business Analyst is a member of a small SAP team performing business requirements, analysis, design, configuration, testing and user adoption related activities within the finance space.
As a Functional Analyst, you will interface with the business to gather business / system requirements, configure the appropriate customizations and enhancements in the FI module including integrations with CO Module, Ariba, and Master Data Management solution (MDM). The person in this position collaborates with other SAP team members and staff toward defining, enhancing, and integrating SAP FI solutions across the ERP platform and related business processes.
o Minimum 6 years SAP GL / AP experience with hands-on configuration experience, documentation experience, and testing.
o Collaborates with business and technical teams on design, development, and solution management.
o Leads or participates in functional and business requirements gathering sessions.
o Defines and writes specifications for configuration, user exits, and custom programs.
o Authors and communicates business process designs and business systems designs.
o Designs, develops, and conducts test plans for functional unit tests, regression tests and system integration tests.
o Performs analysis on error incidents including Intermediate Document (IDoc) rejects and system errors.
o Interfaces with SAP and non-SAP technical teams for technical specifications and development of customized objects.
