Capgemini America, Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Senior Programmer/Developer based out of its Chicago, IL U.S. headquarters. The employee may also work at various unanticipated locations.
She/he will perform the following duties:
Write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs, using workflow chart and diagram, and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic; perform repair or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements; perform and troubleshoot integrations between Oracle EBS and other systems using EDI, SFTP and SWIFT methodologies; utilize programming languages, tools, and frameworks to conduct computer programming/software development for Capgemini clients; perform requirements gathering, bug fixing, testing, documentation, and implementation of software systems; analyze/interpret computer system architecture/design/coding work to ensure adherence to programming/documentation policies; correct errors by making appropriate changes and rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are produced; develop reports, workflows, and metrics within software environment; collaborate with computer manufacturers/other users to develop new programming methods; provide programming and coding training/guidance to junior level programmers; and act as team representative in project meetings.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering (any), or closely related field plus at least 3 years of experience in the job offered, as Software Engineer, Programmer, Application Developer, Systems Analyst, or related IT position. The applicant must also have: 1) any period of experience designing, coding, testing, and implementing customizations within software environment; 2) any period of experience developing reports, workflows, and metrics within software environment; 3) any period of experience performing application development in a Distributed Delivery model; 4) any period of experience developing interactive user interface using ASP.NET MVC and JQuery; 5) any period of experience developing/customizing web applications using ASP.NET, C#, ADO.NET, WCF, JQuery, and Entity Framework; and 6) any period of experience working with programming languages, including Java, MS .Net, PL/SQL, ABAP, J2EE, Salesforce, Mulesoft, Tibco, Informatica, or Datastage.
