BS in Computer Science or related discipline
8+ years of BI Development experience
Extensive hand-on experience building analytic solutions using Tableau Desktop
Tableau Server experience preferred
Able to design Tableau solutions with little direction
Knowledge of Tableau Administration
Ability to design and maintain Tableau Data Sources and Applications following best practices
Develop Tableau and Visual Analytics training material and present to large audiences
Experience interviewing stakeholders in order to develop dashboard wireframes and design requirements that comply with technical and visual design best practices
Able to balance quick-win development with long-term approaches and remain adaptable to change
Proficient in all aspects of the software development life cycle and agile development
Deep understanding of data warehouse and data mart concepts. Able to create tables and views
Create & maintain documentation and technical specifications
Participate in periodic reviews with team(s)
Ensure highest quality deliverables by unit testing, identifying discrepancies and devising solutions
Ability to guide/train the Business Partners on Tableau questions
Ability to identify common user questions and create appropriate How-To documentation for Knowledgebase
Review requirements and identify the right tool per the requirements
Provide operational support as needed
Work closely with the business to understand and document requirements, identify ambiguities, illustrate the issue(s), and collaborate on a resolution
Master SQL skills and ability to troubleshoot
Strong knowledge in Teradata, SQL Server
Strong knowledge in Columnar Databases like RedShift

Responsible for programming and software development using various programming languages and related tools and frameworks, reviewing code written by other programmers, requirement gathering, bug fixing, testing, documenting and implementing software systems. Experienced programmers are also responsible for interpreting architecture and design, code reviews, mentoring, guiding and monitoring programmers, ensuring adherence to programming and documentation policies, software development, testing and release.

Required Skills and Experience:

You assign, coordinate, and review work and activities of programming personnel. Collaborate with computer manufacturers and other users to develop new programming methods. Supervise, train, mentor junior level programmers in programming and program coding. Represent team in project meetings. Work with business and functional analysts, and software & solution architects in ensuring that programs and systems function as intended Supervise, mentor and manage large teams of programmers in one or more projects. Represent project teams in project/program meetings or in meetings with sponsor.

Candidates should be flexible/willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.

• Qualifications: 6-12 years experience, Bachelor’s Degree.

• Must have experience in Software Engineering Techniques, Software Engineering Architecture, Software Engineering Lifecycle and Data Management.

• Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Software Engineering Leadership, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.
