Project Lead – Scrum Master (Louisville, KY location)

This role requires someone local to or willing to relocate to the Louisville, KY, metropolitan area.

Responsibilities:

Guiding and Coaching the Scrum Team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values
Guiding and coaching both the Scrum Team and the Development team on how to get the most out of self organization
Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining (aka grooming) and managing the product backlog.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

BS (Computer Science) or Equivalent (MBA or other related advanced degree preferred)

Required Skills and Experience:

In-depth knowledge and practice of Project Management principles including agile methodologies. Current PMP certification is preferred.
Scrum/Agile certification and at least 2 years managing agile projects is required.
Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for to fully realize the potential of Agile/Scrum frameworks (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
Five or more years of Project Management experience in Information Technology, preferably managing web-based application development and cross-platform integration projects;
Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle;
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail, presentation and interpersonal skills;
High level understanding of software architecture and technologies to provide context to management of projects. Software development or similar technical background is preferred.
Fluency in basic project accounting and tracking project costs.

Technology:

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and at least one of the following: Jira, Rally, Microsoft Team Foundation Server or similar tools

Soft Skills:

Experience with client facing consulting engagements
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities are required

Project Managers take full responsibility for managing a project or program. They normally manage a number of related streams or activities to achieve a desired business result, planned profitability levels, quality standards and highest-level client satisfaction. Project Managers are responsible for the project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements for the delivery organization. A Project Manager usually has technical expertise in one or more other domains (e.g. a Project Manager with testing skills could perform a test manager function).

Required Skills and Experience:

You are responsible for coordinating project performance with the Project / Program Manager and for the timely and economic utilization of resources assigned to your project. You contribute to the overall project plan, highlighting dependencies with other projects. You manage day-to-day project activities, monitor and report on progress, and identify and mitigate potential showstoppers and issues.

• Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree

• Certification: Should have apprentice level and seeking EM Level 1.

• Should have progressing skills in Negotiating, Vendor Management, Financial Reporting, Change Management, Risk Management, Quality Management and Problem Diagnosis & Solution.

• Should have baseline skills in Financial Analysis.

Candidates should be flexible/willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.
