The Communications Lead, North America works closely with leadership to develop and implement a clear and effective communications strategy for key constituencies, including media, influencers employees, clients and prospects across the United States and Canada. S/he will manage a team overseeing public relations and internal communications across all North American markets and work closely with our Digital & Content team and Global Analyst Relations team to ensure all communications vehicles connect to core message pillars.

The position requires experience in managing crisis and issues communications, strong writing skills (internal memos, talking points, press releases and blog posts), media relations skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to manage people and collaborate across the company. The position also requires creativity in deploying new tactics and tools to communicate internally and externally, including the translation of Global/Group messages so they resonate in local markets.

Responsibilities:

Develop strategic communications plans in support of key strategic functions and internal constituents, including but not limited to Executive Leadership, Marketing, Mergers & Acquisitions, Content Distribution and Thought Leadership, Business Development, Human Resources and Internal Communications.
Drive and ensure an integrated corporate story across multiple business units to support key global messaging pillars
Management of the North America PR agency and communications budget to ensure targets are exceeded and share of voice is increased compared to key competitors, on time and on budget

Serve as a communications consultant to senior management; think and write strategically and creatively about a range of corporate issues in a variety of media, including, but not limited to, press releases, remarks, briefing documents and blog posts.
Creation of PR plans that integrate across all influencer channels/touch points including web and social media, coordinating with other global teams such as the Digital and Analyst Relations

Senior stakeholder management including executive profiling plans across multiple channels (traditional media, social media etc). Providing strategic counsel and advice with regard to their media and comms.

Develop and deliver an annual internal communications strategy, with goals of promoting strategy and brand awareness and inspiring employee engagement across the company.
Ensure communications strategies and tactics reflect cutting edge social media in tone, speed and vehicle.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field.

Project Managers are responsible for the project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements for the delivery organization. A Project Manager usually has technical expertise in one or more other domains (e.g. a Project Manager with testing skills could perform a test manager function).

Required Skills and Experience:

You operate at board level in multi-site engagements. You are fully responsible for providing deliverables or service to specification, within agreed cost and timescale, meeting the necessary quality standards and to customer satisfaction. You conduct client negotiations to agree terms for changes to the scope of the project or service, setting realistic expectations and ensuring commercial viability. You manage your project or service teams, plan activities and monitor progress. You ensure all project deliverables or services are provided using best practices and are of an appropriate quality. You provide factual analysis of the project or service portfolio and the team’s performance and compliance to standard tools and processes.

• Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree
• Certification: Manages engagements with complexity on EM level 2 or higher. Is, if possible, certified on this level.
• Should be a master in Vendor Management, Transition Managment, Change Management, Risk Management, Continuous (Service) Improvement and Project Financials, KPI & Reporting.
• Should have strong negotiation
• Should be proficient in Quality Management
