Position Description:

We are looking for a motivated, quick learning, detail oriented individual to join our team as a Business Technical Analyst for the eCommerce Platform.

This position will take responsibility for:

• Partnering with our Global Business and Market stakeholders to elicit business requirements

• Translating business requirements into functional requirements

• Managing requirements throughout all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle

• Validating that requirements are being met in technical designs, smoke tests, and software deliveries

• Serving as a subject matter expert for the functionality of the client’s eCommerce Platform

• Adhering to and improving documentation practices and summarizing detailed technical information into more contextual formats

• Assisting and being the subject matter expert on features and capabilities upon Market deployment

Primary responsibilities include:

• Understanding the value and integrated nature of the various products necessary to deliver features and capabilities in the eCommerce Platform, back end systems, and Digital Customer Channels

• Eliciting, assessing, and authoring business/functional requirements for multiple Markets at a time

• Creating and maintaining documentation pertaining to product features and work processes while adhering to established standards

• Remaining current on Business Analysis practices, techniques, and tools

• Following-up with internal clients about completed tasks to ensure client satisfaction

• Translating technical information into business-focused, contextual deliverables

• Flowcharting processes in logical diagrams

• Reviewing technical designs to ensure they are meeting the business requirements

• Collaborating with the developers and other product teams to ensure alignment on the technical designs 

• Reviewing test cases to ensure coverage by the QA team’s efforts

• Being the subject matter expert during the integration phase to assist integration and / or environment support teams to enable successful integration

• Assisting and being the subject matter expert on features and capabilities upon Market deployment

Experience and Skills Required:

• 2-3 years of experience as a Business Technical Analyst eliciting/defining requirements, building systems solutions, and managing business requirements

• Organization skills and communication expertise complimented by a technology background

• Documentation skills including non-functional, functional, business rule, and business processes

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability and desire to work in a fast paced, often changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment

• Detail oriented

• Balance multiple priorities successfully

• Proactive, self-motivated, self-starter, and team player

• Customer service focus

• General knowledge of eCommerce, smartphones, and web/mobile applications

Experience Preferred:

• 3-5 years of professional work experience

• Experience working on eCommerce solutions

• Experience working on consumer-facing mobile applications

• Experience with AGILE methodology

• Experience with requirements management or change management systems

• Restaurant experience

• Help desk experience

• Experience with JIRA | Confluence | SharePoint

Required Technology Skills:

• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle

• Ability to understand complex technology solutions

• Ability to create data/process flows in Microsoft Visio

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows

• General understanding of XML

• Troubleshooting ability

Preferred Technology Skills:

• Experience with various software development methodologies

• Experience in Visual Basic, SQL experience, or general programming

• 1-2 years software support experience

Education and Certifications (required or preferred): Required: Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred: Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
