Lead end-to-end the network connectivity solution design, estimate and implementation of Capgemini solution.

Design and Lead Connectivity solutions working with client counterparts and various teams in Capgemini for Capgemini AM pursuits.

Develop cost  estimate in consultation with appropriate Capgemini teams (procurement, networking, etc).

Finalize connectivity solution of Capgemini proposal with client.

Present and participate in infrastructure session for connectivity.

Prepare and manage detailed plan covering all elements for connectivity solution implementation. 

Work with procurement to order and manage the delivery of the required hardware.

Work  with Capgemini vendors to coordinate and manage hardware purchase.

Work  with Infrastructure and other Capgemini teams to secure required skills for designing and implementing connectivity solution.

Works with client  connectivity leads to implement solutions including:

a. Coordination of VPN set up across Capgemini sites.

b. Order connectivity components.

c. Work with Capgemini Infrastructure to implement SAM solutions when appropriate.

d. Establish the recommended connectivity solution (SAM/VDI/VPN/Citrix etc.)

e. Testing Connectivity solutions.

Manages Virtual Desktop / Access solutions when they are assigned to Capgemini.

Provide guidance and testing support  for clients needing assistance creating Virtual Desktops or providing access to Capgemini staff.

Provide connectivity support for ongoing Capgemini programs when issues arise.

50% Connectivity support for active transitions and programs

50% Sales Support on Outsourcing Pursuits working with the Transition Manager.

Technical skills include Network Connectivity  solutions and access solutions such as Citrix, VPN, SAM and other Virtual Desktop solutions.

Must be familiar with Capgemini’s preferred communications solutions, how to cost them, and how to implement them.

Project Management  skills are needed to lead the connectivity solutions, provide connectivity  project  lead guidance to clients, and to lead any on boarding / Virtual Desktop build / access projects assigned to Capgemini.

This role interacts directly with client connectivity leads, on boarding staff, and program leadership in addition to Capgemini leadership, thus interaction skills are critical.

During and after Transition, connectivity  issues occur, the root cause of these issues are often client based.

Thus the problem solving is rapid and involves communications with both client and Capgemini leadership.

The individual must be a self-starter capable of juggling multiple clients and stakeholders. 

This role impacts both transition and service delivery.

Thus leadership and accountability is critical.

Solution Architects assess a projects technical feasibility, as well as implementation risks.

They are responsible for designing and implementing a projects technical architecture.

They define the structure of a system, it’s interfaces, and the principles that guide its organization, software design and implementation.

The scope of the Solution Architects role is bounded by the business issue at  hand.

A  Solution Architect needs to have knowledge of all the different aspects of the technical solution as well as robust business knowledge. This includes the Software Architect.

Required Skills and Experience:

You are responsible for the end-to-end architecture of a solution, including its assembly and integration into the IT architecture principles defined with the client.

You define the structure of the system, its interfaces, and the principles that guide its organization, software design and implementation.

You are responsible for the management and mitigation of technical risks, ensuring that the solution services can be realistically delivered by the underlying technology components.

• Qualification: Minimum 5 years experience, Bachelor’s Degree.

• Certification: Technical certification e.g. Cisco, VMWare; or achieved professional certification TOGAF 9 level 1; or has / seeking IAF level 1.

• Should have experience in Functional Architecture Design and Architecture Knowledge, Negotiating, Financial Analysis and Continuous (Service) Improvement.

• Should be proficient in Business Knowledge, Software Engineering Leadership, Technical Solution Design and Change Management.

• Should have progressing knowledge in Business Analysis.
