These oxygen plants are funded by Capgemini as part of its commitment of Rupees 50 crore to augment medical infrastructure across India.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The oxygen plants were virtually inaugurated by the Hon\u2019ble Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri B. S. Yediyurappa in the presence of Shri K Sudhakar; Honorable Minister for health, family welfare &amp; Medical education; Ashwin Yardi, CEO of Capgemini in India; Ms Uma Mahadevan, Principal Secretary, Panchayat Raj; Dr CR Jayanti ,Director and Dean of Victoria Hospital; Dr Manoj Kumar, Director and Dean, Charaka Super Specialty Hospital and other leaders from Capgemini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The oxygen plants set up at both these hospitals will generate 400 liters Per Minute. These oxygen generators can also be fitted with cylinder refill units, which gives a two-way approach for supplying oxygen to the patients and provides full autonomy to healthcare facilities to manage peak consumption flows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to this, in 2021 to help address the second wave of COVID-19, Capgemini donated more than 125 Oxygen concentrators across Bengaluru and will install one more oxygen plant in few weeks at the Epidemic Diseases Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cAs the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the collaboration of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.capgemini.com\/in-en\/industries\/public-sector\/\">public and private sector<\/a> to augment the medical infrastructure will further accelerate the relief efforts. Private sector companies including Capgemini have been supporting the state in various COVID-19 relief efforts including setting up of medical oxygen plants. It is a great support to the society during the need of the hour,\u201d&nbsp;<\/em>said&nbsp;<strong>Shri B. S. The new oxygen plants in Bengaluru will address the growing need for medical oxygen.
