Overall, the components of a thriving FinOps culture include collaboration, transparency, individual and collective ownership and accountability, blamelessness, accuracy, and financial consideration by design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Best practices that can help you successfully implement these components \u2013 and onboard and adapt stakeholders to your FinOps culture \u2013 include the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Defining a common language and taxonomy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heightening communication with the right education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bringing teams together \u2013 architects, engineers, and finance \u2013 via ceremonies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Easing access to cloud usage and cost data via dashboards and reports to increase transparency<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating active processes for FinOps knowledge sharing among teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implementing gamification and rewards systems to improve buy-in<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This cultural shift is a phased journey \u2013 not an instantaneous big bang. This is why it\u2019s important to spend time building strong foundations \u2013 and then spread out in a structured manner.
