Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

As a Program Manager at Capgemini Engineering, my key responsibility is to ensure that Capgemini remains the best partner for our customers. My day at Capgemini starts with planning and monitoring the programs and addressing challenges incurred in the development lifecycle. I spend a significant portion of my day implementing remedial actions and collaborating with other members of the Capgemini Engineering team. I also collaborate with the customer service team to help them define and plan their product roadmaps.

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

Capgemini provides me with an opportunity and freedom to work with the latest technologies and challenges that I love. Seniors, subordinates, partners, and stakeholders are all knowledgeable and supportive. It enables me to develop my full potential and excel in projects I undertake. I am always encouraged to take on new challenges and that is what I love about Capgemini! My team helps me to understand my true potential and supports me in all my challenges. I get constant guidance and support from world-class leaders to aid my growth as a seasoned professional. How are you working towards the future you want?

I joined Capgemini as a fresher 15 years ago, and today, I can say I am a seasoned professional. This progress was achievable because I welcomed challenges and made use of all the opportunities that came along. Today, I intend to work on different technologies and domains and stay aligned with the latest trends. Capgemini is full of opportunities for one to grow. I believe in “We don’t grow when things are easy. We grow when we face challenges”. I find my challenges here, and growth follows them.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

Be open, ask a lot of questions, reach out to people and seek challenges. Capgemini is the right place to grow your career.

How do you think Capgemini’s support has been since the pandemic began?

Capgemini took excellent care of its employees right from the beginning of the pandemic. Arranging the oxygen cylinders during the first phase of the pandemic and checking with every employee about their and family wellness gave us the needed assurance in these challenging times. The support and care shown to us by our leaders and team will remain etched in our memories forever!
