Analyst, Corporate Social Responsibility

Capgemini has given me a platform to bring Innovative solutions for the better implementation of the CSR projects. The change in the society not only gave me confidence but contentment also.

  • How do you feel in the morning getting up and going to work at Capgemini
Being in CSR team of Capgemini not only gives me an opportunity to work on some of the challenges that the nation is facing like digital inclusion of the lower strata but also gives me a chance to contribute to the welfare of underprivileged people. Every day is not the same, everyday there is a new challenge and a new task. I look forward to interacting with the global CSR team of Capgemini by visiting their countries and understanding the challenges that their society is facing.
  • What do you love about your job?
I am a people’s person and passionate about social work. My current role with Corporate Social Responsibility team provides me a platform to not only anchor the Education projects, PAN India but also to bring in innovation for the holistic development of the communities. The current role is not limited to desk work, I get to travel to the project sites which give me insights about the ground reality and the challenges that communities are facing. After successful intervention, the smiles that I get to witness on their faces give me contentment.
  • How does Capgemini empower you to master your skills?
Before entering to this corporate world, I had an impression that CSR is only about donating money or material things and they are not bothered about the actual impact. But Capgemini’s CSR is not restricted to donations, it is beyond that. Capgemini CSR team first understands the ground reality and then tries to find out innovative and impactful solutions to the problem.

When I started my career at Capgemini, the projects were very limited, and I was also naïve to the surroundings. This role gave me the opportunity to expand my skill set and knowledge in terms of handling the projects of PAN India and strategies for structured CSR. The freedom to explore and learn through various external seminars and workshops is something that I appreciate here in Capgemini. If you are a keen learner and are willing to put in that extra effort, you will never be discouraged.
  • How does Capgemini help support your sense of purpose in your career?
Over the years, I have realized that I need support to build my confidence and my seniors as well as peers have supported me on that. Capgemini provided me the platform to lead variety of projects which helped me in gaining confidence along with knowledge of that domain.Opportunities coupled with requisite trainings and field level experience helped me reach this level where I am now.
  • How does Capgemini give you the autonomy to make decisions?
I had started from handling small projects and now I look after PAN India level projects and currently leading the Education Portfolio here. This responsibility of handling such largeprojects hashelped me in strategizing the work and accordingly take actions. Taking ownership and responsibility – be it at project level, field monitoring level or day-to-day operations with the NGO partner&team, the company provides full support on these aspects.
  • What do you love about the way of working at Capgemini?
Unique and structured CSR is something that I love about the Capgemini’s way of working. Another thing which I appreciate is that the senior management is approachable, irrespective of whether you are a junior or a mid-level employee.
  • How does this all combine for you to have passion for what you do?
I have contributed to the overall business strategy, overall CSR goal of Capgemini, Digital Inclusion and accordingly ensured the digital penetration in the projects. As a team player, I have contributed to a more structured and effective strategy of overall CSR. Internal training and visits helped in increasing my knowledge and expertise in the domain and provided an opportunity to present the unique project work in various external platforms.
  • What was your most memorable moment in your Capgemini journey?
It was a cloud 9 moment when I received the first global award for the “Digital Literacy Program” under the “Best Skills for Innovation category” that I am still anchoring. The program aims at Empowering Communities with Digital Literacy and I got recognized at the Global level and it was a proud moment for India.
  • What are you an Ace at?
My expertise in the education domain helped me in contributing for thesocial change, I aspire to bring change in the life of lower strata of society.  Bringing Innovative solutions for better implementation of the projects is something that I am deeply passionate about and aim to learn as well as apply on the overall CSR.
