Taking on varied challenges, and making a difference to the Client’s business is what I love about Capgemini.
- How do you feel in the morning getting up and going to work at Capgemini?
Working in innovation means that every new day is a new discovery, a new excitement. It is the excitement of meeting great minds as we collaboratively work on marrying technology to business value.
- What do you love about your job?
The flexibility, the constant flow of new ideas and the creative juices flowing. I love challenging the status-quo and the euphoria of success and the lessons of failures.
- How does Capgemini empower you to master your skills?
There is a focus on learning. Whether the informal way of tinkering and experimenting or a more formal training structure. Within our unit, we look at every person undergoing 10 days of training in a year. That along with the varied opportunities to work on different problems help create a multi-faceted and multi-skilled individual.
- How does Capgemini help support your sense of purpose in your career?
We are flexible and have multiple roles across which movement is encouraged. I personally have been in Innovation, Delivery, and Consulting & Practice building during my tenure. That helps you find your sweet spot and align your capabilities and your career goals.
- How does Capgemini give you the autonomy to make decisions?
I have always found the freedom and flexibility to take ownership and demonstrate differentiation. I have been encouraged, rather than questioned, about my ‘out of the box’ approaches and solutions.
- What do you love about the way of working at Capgemini?
It’s about the empowerment that I have got to create my approach and outcomes as long as it is aligned with the organization’s business objectives and values. It is about the different people, different cultures, different approaches that all come together for common goals and outcomes.
- How does this all combine for you to have the passion for what you do?
I realized pretty early on that I like creating things and doing something out-of-the-box. The environment is conducive and the organization’s focus on innovation has given me those roles where I could make my vision a reality.
- What was the most memorable moment in your Capgemini journey?
There are many memorable moments, the best of which are when a client looks at your solution and says that this is exactly what she was looking for. An incident where our prognosis and roadmap were so precise that the client CIO jokingly asked us whether we had hacked into his computer. That was the moment when I felt satisfied that my innovations deliver real business value.
- What are you an Ace at?
I ace at creating business value for clients leveraging the disruptive value of technology and enabling differentiated business models for our clients.
