Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

There are two functions I lead. First is the Fun office, where we focus on creating path-breaking employee engagement initiatives – including creating two Guinness World Records or running the longest-running employee engagement show, ‘Thank God It’s Monday.’ The other is managing the Centre Heads Organization, which operates on four principles – Employee Engagement, Leadership and External Stakeholder Management, and CSR. The Chief Fun Officer is not WHAT I do; it is WHO I am and makes me most gratified to this family!

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

For me, the best of all is the culture at Capgemini. Additionally, the organization does not just set values but also enables every employee to live them day after day, on and off work. Each of us firmly believes in our values!

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

The sheer joy of being the reason for bringing smiles to the faces of 150,000 colleagues and their families is an incredible achievement that makes me feel proud every morning. I am also pleased to work under a leadership team that empowers employees to be themselves while preserving trust and setting the right benchmarks for everyone to follow.

How are you working towards the future you want?

One of our core values is Freedom. Every Capgemini employee has the independence to paint their dreams and get the future they want. Every passing day is an opportunity for me to spread smiles in the lives of my colleagues. Hence, my future is to measure one day at a time, resulting in every day being brighter than the previous while creating more reasons for everyone to enjoy life at Capgemini.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

As Oscar Wilde says, “Be yourself because everyone else is taken.” Hold your unique identity and be the you that you want to be! Believe and build a culture and future that represents the true you!

How do you think Capgemini’s support has been since the pandemic began?

The support and belief from the leadership amidst the pandemic has been nothing short of exemplary. The numerous progressive approaches to enable work from home for our colleagues across the country and the various initiatives around employee health and safety have been excellent. The care shown towards colleagues or their families affected by COVID-19 has been beyond expectations. External support like providing beds and food or even quarantine facilities to the disadvantaged has also shown the true character of all those involved. To top it all, the organization successfully conducted excellent vaccination drives for employees and their families. Also, the company went beyond and was at the forefront of providing support to hospitals and government authorities with activities like donating oxygen plants and concentrators, only making me prouder of the Capgemini family!
