Global Delivery Leader

Our core values and culture are our biggest competitive advantage!

Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

As a Global Delivery Leader for the Insights and Data business line, I am responsible for ensuring clients perceive Capgemini as the best delivery partner by our clients. My primary focus is driving the competitiveness agenda through accelerated leverage of intelligent automation solutions using new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Process Automation.

My day involves reviewing the delivery, quality, and financial performances of key engagements portfolio. Over the last few years, we have put together robust delivery governance with proactive processes. I help my delivery teams across the globe improve our delivery capabilities and actively mitigate delivery risks. All my actions and decisions are focused on how Insights & Data (I&D) can become the best delivery engine for the organization.

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

Capgemini India offers a unique environment for your personal development. It is a place where high performance is rewarded and freedom, industrialization, innovation, and trust are in the spotlight. Also, the learning opportunities here are immense; you never stop learning. Capgemini has a robust digital learning platform offering 30,000+ courses across domains, technologies, and skills by leading content providers. It also operates various academies like Cloud Academy, AI academy, and Automation academy.

Multiple avenues are accessible to associates for upskilling and reskilling. I am a certified L3 engagement manager as well as a certified AI captain. The curriculum and learning journey for these certifications has tremendously helped me contribute tangible value to our clients.

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

A remarkable aspect of the Capgemini culture is that you are encouraged to interact with the client as an ‘entrepreneur.’ Additionally, the way our seven core values, namely honesty, boldness, trust, freedom, fun, modesty, and team spirit, flow seamlessly into our culture is praiseworthy. Established by our founder Serge Kampf, we consider all the seven values as sacrosanct. When your values are aligned with that of the organization, it gives you a sense of pride! Our core values, in my opinion, is our biggest competitive advantage.

How are you working towards the future you want?

Every colleague at Capgemini is encouraged and supported to pursue new opportunities and roles. You are always in a state of ‘learning and growing.’ During my 30-year career at Capgemini, I’ve held a range of leadership positions, including Delivery, Research and Innovation, Quality, Industrialization, Automation, and Consulting. I never turned down an opportunity. I recommend that everyone approaches challenges and opportunities with the same enthusiasm. Although this diverse set of experiences has consistently tested my abilities, it has also kept me engaged and motivated at work. I am convinced that it will work the same for someone aspiring to be at Capgemini as well.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

I would like to reiterate that Capgemini provides you with a variety of career options, as well as numerous opportunities to advance and upskill yourself. Use Career Café and other career counseling initiatives to your advantage. Have a vision and a plan for your career. You will always be supported in your journey.

How do you think Capgemini’s support has been since the pandemic began?

Our Group’s priority is, and remains, the health and safety of its people. Our Group is fully committed to providing timely medical, financial, and emotional support to all our colleagues and dependents. During the pandemic, the entire organization came together and demonstrated great empathy, true leadership, and genuine care, irrespective of grades. The organization offered support to all its people whenever and wherever needed.

As a steering committee member of the Benevolent Fund instituted exclusively for Indian colleagues and family members, we continue to review several requests for financial assistance for colleagues and their dependent family members. These requests are approved with utmost urgency. Furthermore, at the I&D level, we have been working on eliminating stress triggers and focusing on the mental and physical wellbeing of our colleagues and extending a helping hand when needed. Because at Capgemini, we believe in being #StrongerTogether.
