Primary Skill IBM Tivoli Storage Manager TSM Secondary Skill EMC Data Domain Job Description Job Description Primary Strong knowledge of TSM VTL Administration which includes Secondary Datadomain or Avamar a Knowledge of TSM concepts and its working b Administration of Datadomain Virtual Tape Library c Troubleshooting on Missed Failed backups d Implementing TSM backup policies storage pools client schedules and client installation configuration e Exposure on SQL Queries and should able to build scripts in TSM f Experience on any TDPs TSM4VE Oracle Exchange Domino MSSQL g Oracle RMAN Backups functioning understanding troubleshooting h Knowledge of configuring NDMP device NDMP Backup Restore i Basic knowledge on TSM Library sharing j Backup performance monitoring optimization Follow the ITIL process and procedures customised for account while delivering technical tasks Capacity utilisation trending and reporting to higher management Applies technical support expertise to independently diagnose and resolve backup issue Works with cross functional teams in resolving customer issues identifies and provides resolutions to a diverse range of technical problems Maintains a closed loop communication style that ensures proper and consistent documentation in service request case notes assuring all appropriate individuals are notified of ongoing issues and problem resolution status Helps develop and participates in training and skills development of others Applies systems analysis techniques and procedures to determine hardware or software systems functionality Effective communication skills in both verbal and written English Ability to team with onshore co workers on support and break fix issues Self driven and able to work by yourself or within a team Good analytical and troubleshooting skills An ability to work well under pressure and flexible approach Ability to work shift patterns and provide out of hour s on call support Ability to provide clear and concise documentation Good 3rd Party Liaison i e Suppliers of storage products and hardware for problem resolution Working knowledge of ticketing tool and understanding of ITIL concept
