Job Description
- The NOC Assistant Manager will help lead Capgemini’s Network Operations Center (NOC) Team and will report to the NOC Manager.
- You will work directly with Analysts and Escalation Engineers to ensure day-to-day operational service delivery to our Managed Security Services (MSS) clients remains top-notch.
- Provides supervision, guidance and mentoring to NOC Analysts and Shift Supervisors to achieve goals in accordance with established process, policies and contractual obligations.
- Must have ability to support a flexible schedule in support of a 24×7 Operations Center and supervise it’s staff and in an on-call capacity.
- Able to monitor NOC staff tasks and assure SLA’s and processes are being strictly adhered to.
- Work with management and escalation engineers to resolve higher level issues outside the abilities of the NOC Analysts and Shift Supervisors.
- Recognize, update, review, and distribute process documentation authored by Leads and Escalation Team to the NOC.
- Meet with clients and partners as needed, Provide regular status summaries and reports to management as required.

- Manage expectations of clients.
- Oversee Monthly Reporting and assure timely submission.
- Strong ability to present technical solutions and adjust communication to accomodate all levels of technical expertise.
- Expert level knowledge of installing, deploying, documenting, and troubleshooting firewall products, such as Junipers, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, and perimeter security technologies such as proxy servers, intrusion prevention/detection (IDS/IPS), antivirus, antimalware, anti-spam and unified threat management (UTM).
Primary Skills
- Able to understand all NOC processes to guide Analysts and Shift Supervisors daily.
- Must be well versed in TCP/IP, IPSec, VLANs, system hardening, and troubleshooting.
