Capgemini Ventures & French Founders partnership – seen by Lucia Sinapi-Thomas

Lucia, you have just become a member of French Founders network. Capgemini is sponsor of the 2019 Startup Tour Parisian step but also of the Final in New York in September. What are the stakes of such a partnership for Capgemini? How does that fit the Group’s innovation strategy?

This partnership means a lot to Capgemini for two main reasons:

  • French Founders creates links between start-ups and the world of our clients. Therefore, it helps us to become closer to those stakeholders and grasp the right opportunities.
  • Furthermore, French Founders holds an international playground that reflects the organization of the Group. We share the same values of being a cultural melting pot for example. This partnership contributes to the Group’s innovation strategy that is reinforced with the launch of Capgemini Ventures.

A new investment fund of €90M with ISAI has been launched. What are the origins and purpose of such a decision? In what way does it differentiate from the other actors on the market?

  • Capgemini created a network of more than twenty Applied Innovation Exchanges (AIE) to link our clients that are large corporations and a global ecosystem of innovation and startups. It provides promising and innovative digital solutions for their activities.
  • With the ISAI Cap Venture fund, we are adding an investment arm to interact with this innovation ecosystem. 
  • This partnership reinforces FrenchFounders’ approach in establishing strong relationship between Corporates and Startups around the world. Capgemini Ventures position itself in the same dynamic and synergy that will help create even more value to their Key Accounts.
