Strategy and transformation

I am very proud of being a part of a truly inclusive organization that supports and empowers its employees.

Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

I lead Communications for our Corporate Real Estate Services team. Every morning, I kickstart my workday with excitement. A great day for me is when I have collaborated with my colleagues to accomplish our goals and create an impact.

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

What excites me the most about my job is the freedom and the constant encouragement from colleagues, co-workers, and leaders. The fluidity in the way we work sparks innovation, which is integral in a portfolio like mine.

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

Work-life balance is something I get to boast about with all my friends outside Capgemini. I am a proud mom of a 3-year-old, and I still remember how Capgemini supported me during my pregnancy and the initial years after my son’s birth. I am very proud of being a part of a truly inclusive organization that supports and empowers its employees.

How are you working towards the future you want?

I started my career with Capgemini in 2010 as an Executive Assistant. I then started managing CSR for a business unit post which I moved on to being a facilitator and a trainer on soft skills. Following this stint, I enjoyed being an instructional designer for two years and progressed to being an Operations Lead for APAC delivery centers, where I discovered my passion for Communications. Capgemini gave me a level-playing field that helped me find who I wanted to be and what I wanted to do. It has been an enriching experience, and I have Capgemini to thank for nurturing me throughout these diverse experiences.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

To this day, I fondly remember my most special moment during my initial days at Capgemini. I was amazed by the amount of trust my leaders put in me. My first assignment was to attend a week-long Global VP seminar in Chicago. It was a huge event, and the responsibility on me was immense. I remember being asked, “Are you still breathing?”. Once it was over, I returned to work on cloud nine. It was a great feeling to have accomplished that when I was only 21 years old, and now it’s a precious memory that I cherish dearly. My advice to anyone who is joining Capgemini is to make the most out of your time here! It’s a large organization full of opportunities and experiences.

How do you think Capgemini’s support has been since the pandemic began?

Capgemini has launched some fantastic initiatives to support its people through the pandemic. At Capgemini, people are our fulcrum. Hence, the organization ensured support and access to quality and timely healthcare for everyone. I have experienced this support firsthand as my husband contracted COVID-19 in early 2021 and needed hospitalization. The ICRES Team and the Capgemini network stood by my family and me through it all. And due to this, I rightly call my team my extended family.
