Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

As part of the Editing & Translation team of Capgemini Invent, there is never a dull moment for me. As we generate industry-leading research documents, I get to work on a wide array of subjects that cut across various sectors – from aerospace and manufacturing to retail and banking. With the opportunity to deep dive into Sustainable IT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Intelligent Industry, the learning is truly immense.

This role enables me to collaborate with global consultants, and help position the organization as a leader in industry research through our well-formulated insights, POVs, business proposals, training content, and more.

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

Very few corporate translators get to work on so many diverse topics and sectors in a lifetime. It’s truly a rewarding job and a place where learning never stops, especially as I get to work on exciting and challenging projects. Moreover, I have complete freedom and flexibility to make meaningful contributions and do my very best, both personally and professionally.

How are you working towards the future you want?

Capgemini believes in empowering its employees and gives them the freedom to chart out their career paths. There are many support tools and processes in place to help you achieve your personal and professional goals. For example, I often read up a lot of literature developed by Capgemini Research Institute, which helps me immensely in my day-to-day work and in learning about new subjects.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

Capgemini offers you a great platform to build your skills and explore different areas of interest through support tools, online communities, and learning platforms. There is a lot to learn both inside and outside your Business Unit. If you are someone who thrives on challenges, this is the place for you!

How do you think Capgemini’s support has been since the pandemic began?

Capgemini’s response to the pandemic has been commendable. Within the shortest time, an entire support system was put in place focused on providing support to Capgemini employees and their families to cope with the unprecedented situation. I was personally impacted by this crisis, and I was grateful to receive immense help and most importantly, kindness from my managers and colleagues. A special thanks to our leaders and to the entire team running this well-thought-out crisis response system, covering things from end to end: special leaves, quarantine facilities, and emergency support internally, and providing oxygen concentrators, home-cooked meals, conducting vaccination drives, and other services externally to help the general population.
