My usual work day   My day begins at 8.00 am with quick replies to onshore emails from my phone. Most of the working day in office is spent on specific project activities or delivery initiatives, technical audits and quality improvements. The evening is dedicated to calls with onshore and client teams.

My day begins at 8.00 am with quick replies to onshore emails from my phone. Most of the working day in office is spent on specific project activities or delivery initiatives, technical audits and quality improvements.
The evening is dedicated to calls with onshore and client teams. Following that I try to get home in time for my son’s bedtime. As half of the team is in Bangalore, I occasionally visit there.

My life at Capgemini

Capgemini has introduced me to a diverse group of clients, requirements, solutions and of course colleagues. The work varies from RFPs, strategy roadmap, and enterprise roles as well as hands-on activities with the development teams via code reviews and quality checks. The opportunities have allowed me to drive the design and delivery of large, complex solutions to multiple customers. I am also involved in mentoring, training and capability building of other team members.

Places I have been

I enjoy travelling and sightseeing. Apart from India, I have stayed in the UK during the early years of my job. During that time, I got a chance to travel extensively across Europe. I have been to New Zealand and Singapore for project work. As part of my role in Capgemini, I have been to Florida for client visits.

Projects I’m proud of

We prepared a proactive solution to a leading international cruise company and that was a game changer for their IT functionality. In addition to the technical solution, we built the cost-benefit analysis and I travelled onsite to present the solution to the client’s senior management team and IT stakeholders. We successfully delivered this project in April 2014.

My personal life

I love reading books and listening to music. I am also a keen follower of Football and Formula 1. On weekends, I like to spend time with my family outdoors or meeting friends. My 4 year old son keeps my wife and me busy. We have a guitar and a keyboard that have been unused for years – and we’re slowly learning them again.
