1. How did your story with Capgemini begin?

Following my graduation from Duke University (NC, USA), I was working in NYC with one of the largest asset management firms in the world. In 2010, I was looking to move back to India, and exploring various options. It is at this point that I came across Capgemini, and could instantly connect with the 7 values of the firm. Upon interacting with the gentleman who would go on to be my first manager in Capgemini, as well as witnessing first-hand the Capgemini culture during my day long interview in our NYC office, I knew this was the right choice for me. The rest as they say, is history!

2. What are some of your greatest accomplishments at Capgemini?

During my 10 years with Capgemini, I have worn multiple hats – These include being part of the initial FS Market Intelligence team when it was being set up, being one of the first few offshore resources for a Australian banking account (which has now gone on to become one of our largest banking accounts in APAC!), helping with the set-up of different platform CoEs, helping set up Capgemini’s premier general management program, and now being the India Industry Leader for Banking.

During this period, I have had the opportunity to represent Capgemini in various forums, including on television, speaking slots in various international industry conferences, and also being a Capgemini ambassador in India’s finest B schools! Despite these accomplishments, the one I find the most satisfying is to see the folks I have mentored over the years, excel in the different roles they have taken up at Capgemini, making a real difference to the firm.

3. How did Capgemini help you excel in your personal development journey?

I believe Capgemini is one of the most entrepreneurial organizations one can work for, and really embodies #GetTheFutureYouWant. Capgemini is very appreciative of its employees exploring different roles and chartering the path that truly works for them. During my experience here, I have had the opportunity to make a real difference by sharing ideas in a very open and receptive environment, and being encouraged to take on new roles each time I felt my learning curve was stagnating in a existing role. This has helped my learning tremendously, allowing me to gain immense exposure and grow professionally.

4. Which Capgemini core values do you best embody in your day-to-day workflow?

Boldness and Freedom are the two Capgemini core values that have driven me in my decade long experience with Capgemini. The ability to speak one’s mind boldly, knowing that the entrepreneurial culture at Capgemini encourages all new ideas to be tabled and heard, makes me feel valued. As long as any idea presented is in the best interest of our clients, our employees, and our broader ecosystem, one is always supported in executing it. I have seen these values extract the best ideas from our young colleagues too, as they know they can speak their mind and put forth their most innovative thoughts without being too worried about how these would be received.

5. What message do you have for future employees who want to pursue their career journeys at Capgemini?

I believe Capgemini is particularly well suited to be the business transformation partner of its clients. We work with best-in-class partners in delivering the most innovative solutions for our clients. While doing so, we also work towards helping our planet with our various sustainability investments and solutions. Change is now taking place faster than at any point in human history, and this is a great time to be at the forefront of transformation, sustainability, and sectoral expertise. Capgemini allows its employees to work on different challenges where they can make a real impact, while continuously supporting their learning journeys, so they can be the best versions of themselves, shaping their own futures, while living Capgemini’s 7 core values.
